Rip off. Over charged me for my lunch. I had lettuce and a small piece of meat and the cashier claimed I had almost 2 lbs of food. You cant see the scale so they can tell whatever. She didn't bother to weigh it again. This was my last visit. I go to the food cellar across the street. Lots of choices, better food cheaper and I can see what the weight of my food is as its being weighed. Rather go hungry than eat here.
This place has decent, quick food. The pizza part has good pizza, big slices, lots of combos. They'll toast and butter muffins for you in the "main" part of the restaurant, which is nice. Pretty good iced coffee as well. Convenient location if you're going to/from the Court Square subway stop.
This place has a bit of everything for lunch: Buffet style food plus deli sandwiches and bagels, and coffee with bakery items. The food and coffee are ok but food lacks variety. Most days have almost the same options, and lack vegetarian dishes. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly but seem overwhelmed at peak hours.
I went in to have a little lunch so I orderd 2 slices of pizza, one white and one regular. The sauce on the regular did not taste good at all. It tasted like it was poured straight out of the sauce can. The was no seasoning, boiling or milling. The white slice just tasted bland and unappitazing. As a newyorker I've eaten at many pizza places and found many hidden gems but this is one place you can skip.
This place is hit or miss but, 8/10 will be a HIT...if you go from 11ish to about 1pm it is fairly crowded and busy. Food is hot and fresh, no flies buzzing around. After 4pm the hot salad bar items are discounted to 50% off the regular per lb. pricing. 4
Food is usually bland and blah, the hot food can more times then less be cold. Only thing I liked was the soup..... Ate here alot when working in citi group building and it got very old very quick. Not to mention there's a manager her that goes around yelling at his employees all day. O yea and the price changes on items depending on who is at the register...... .
LA Gourmet is back on my A list for lunch, as they take extra interest in providing good food at prompt delivery times. I recommend the Corn Muffin toasted with butter for breakfast and the Chicken Cutlet Panini or the Grandma pie for lunch. Just ask for an updated menu, as their prices have changed slightly.
pesto chicken smelled like fish... which i learned means it went bad. i ate it and now am waiting to get sick... but hasn't happened yet.. so, thumbs up? the delivery time was very fast though. i would consider ordering again, just not chicken.
Hot bar, soup, and salad bar options, as well as made to order hot and cold sandwiches. Also has a separate pizza place. Good friendly service, always busy during lunch
This is a solid option if you’re looking for a nice box of baked goods cookies, layer bars, etc. They sell it at $9.99 by the pound. They also have a nice standard deli selection of salads and sandwiches, and a large choice of sodas. I’m a big fan of their soups. Gazpacho in the summer is killer.
