Food here is pretty good. Their panang curry was quite flavour-full. The lad nah was pretty good too, as was the spring rolls.
Wis is a fantastic server who gave superb service with quite possibly the best vibes I’ve ever experienced. His smile was infectious and the food was outstanding. Try the fried avocado appetizer!
I ordered Pad Thai takeout today and regret it. I opened the already small box to find it about half full. The chicken was plain and tasteless as if they just threw some plain chicken breast into the microwave. The noodles had no flavor and zero spice. It was like a semisweet flavorless glaze on a pile of noodles with chunks of plain chicken. The only flavor I got from this meal was from the teaspoon of chives and my free mint at the end 2 stars because I dined in a couple times and got ok food. Strange how this place has a full kitchen and can be out done by someone in a trailer.
Just a short four block walk from home makes this so very convenient for me. I have walked past the front porch of this converted structure, a former residence at least a thousand times in the six years I've lived in the Irvington neighborhood. Always less than an eighth of a mile from the several apartments I've rented, and this is the first time dining here. Although it is a small space, tables and chairs are not crammed in there and are spaced a comfortable distance apart creating an intimate atmosphere for when you want to keep a private conversation, private. Main dishes are pretty much the same as you find in any one of the multitudes of Thai Restaurants everywhere. What makes this place stand out from main street Thai cuisine are the short lists of appetizers and soups. I expected a lightly breaded or won ton wrapped, fried fingerfood with minced chicken and shrimp. Nuh-huh that's 'white boy' speak for THINK AGAIN!. There was a large whole shrimp tucked inside each of these mega morsels. Sweet & sour sauce served on the side as an optional drizzle is really not necessary, you have to try it yourself to find out. Just look at this picture ! Of course, I can't resist Thai Iced Tea since it never tastes the same when I make it at home. Dine In. Take Out. *OR* Grub hub can deliver to your location for under three bucks as mentioned on the menu November 2019.
I come for the crispy avocado rolls That appetizer is delicious. Of note, the flowers in the windowsill are about to bloom soon
Came to Portland to attend a basketball game and we decided to go for some Thai the Wife and I and this was a pleasant place to eat. Good food along with great prices. Two thumbs up.....
Love the ambience. Great food! Authentic Thai
My workmates and I are frequent lunch customers here and I love the fresh veggies and spicy flavors I always ask for 'hot' - you'll feel the heat!. I am gluten-free and they have been great about making good that is safe for me. I love the little bowl of soup that comes as soon as you order, so that you aren't starving while your food is being prepared. Nice atmosphere and nice service too!
Lovely little place. Incredibly warm staff. Great food. I got the yellow curry, spiced medium. Some of the best in Portland for sure. Super creamy, not too salty and nice on a cold day. Felt taken care of for sure. Go!
Really dig this place, located in the setting of a living room of a house. Doesn't get much more authentic, as one may expect from a household kitchen [beware, this does mean you can expect bay leaves or cartilage in your meal...] But the food speaks for itself, very succulent roast duck with pineapple & grapes & avocado == Awesome. The avocado wraps are great, and any other dish I've tried has exceeded expectations. Food is pretty much the real deal that tasted similar to those I've had in Thailand that were well-prepared with a couple NW twists [like dungeness crab specialties].
