This place is legit! Very authentic Taiwanese food with owners who know what they're doing and how to prepare delicious food. Would totally return. They have a nice menu of all sorts of typical snacks from Taiwan, and they also sell bento lunch boxes for a fair price if you want a larger meal. Totally worth the visit if you're into Asian food at all from places other than China.
My bestie from GEORGIA TECH is Tawainese! So I was excited to try her fave Taiwanese snacks! SAUSAGE ON A STICK: Tasted like an American maple syrup flavors breakfast sausage except much tougher skin & chewy. Wasn't too fond of the after taste. the novelty of it being on a stick! DESSERT COCONUT MILK & TARO: This was super unique to me. The only thing close enough to this I've tried is bubble tea. Especially liked how this coconut soup had varying textures & flavors of tapioca & how this wasn't too sweet. This snack isn't as easy or on the go as sausage on a stick. Definitely need to be seated to eat this sloshy soup that even comes with crushed ice in it ! LICORICE OLIVES: Im 1/2 Lebanese so I'm a huge fan of olives. How unique these don't have a seed and are a chewy sweet snack ! I can easily get hooked on this !
Nice staff. Good chicken. The basic "popcorn chicken" is amazingly savory. Comes with some rice and sensible veggies. I ate the broccoli already. I will return! Most of the English language menu looks boring, but the flavors are not what you would expect.
The staff is super friendly and the food is really good! Highly recommend the Fried Chicken Fillet bento box! The breading on the chicken is amazing. The herbal jelly and red bean shaved ice was unusual and delicious.
Good food especially their fried chicken nuggets and sausage are delicious, but the attitude of the male owner was bad. Didn’t look me in the eyes and when I said thank you to him he didn’t even respond anything while I was the customer. But when he talks with other women with a mature appearance he was all friendly and kept smiling to them. As a customer I don’t believe it’s fair for him to treat people differently no matter what the reason was.
This place reminds me those small family run diner, noodle shop near the Taiwan University very good and authentic fried pork and chicken Bend is. They also sell the vacuum packed from the chamotion of LA. As fresh they are, very traditional flavor comparing those now in Taipei, which are salty , tailored for PRC Tourist's taste.I don’t need to fly to LA for these now! Try it. I have also asked them to import from Champion, which I consider as one of the world’s best. Better than any in Taipei!
Had popcorn chicken here and loved it! They have other snack options of the Asian variety. Can't wait to try it all.
Okay, up front I only order one thing here: Sausage and its great! Slightly sweet, slightly smokey with hints of cinnamon and star anise its my favorite grocery shopping treat. Never found any grit or unsavory pieces in it with the perfect amount of fat and lean. The staff is always warm and friendly as well.
I went here on vacation with my mother. My father recently deceased was a foodie! In his honor I decided to take a snack tour for the day trying foods from different cultures! I didn’t know much about the food they offered and they offered excellent help in helping me decide! I ended up getting the grilled sausage and mushroom filled sticky rice wrapped in a leaf I forget the proper name. Both were delicious, a true delight on my palate. I’ll definitely remember this place on my next trip to Atlanta!
I would give them 0 star if I could. I went there to get some dessert with my family. First of all, there were three people behind me and they all got their food before I did. After a long time they finally gave me one of the two things I ordered. When I asked the male owner what happened to the other dessert, he just kept counting his money in register and ignored me. After about 5 minutes, he finally went to the kitchen to ask about my food, except he just stayed in there and never came out. I went to see what they were doing in the back, and saw three people standing around eating snacks and chatting. So I rang the front desk bell and the male owner took another two minutes before he came out and asked me what I wanted. I asked for a refund which he wouldn't give me and he said he had given my dessert to another customer by accident, then he started walking back into the kitchen again. I was furious at that point and asked him again to give me a refund, then the female owner came out and said it's done. They both went back to the kitchen for another 3, 4 minutes, finally came out with the dessert. During this whole time, nobody apologized, nobody even smiled. They looked like I owe them a million bucks the entire time. I have never had customer service this horrible at any other place before. Would not recommend anybody going there because their food is more expensive than Quickly, sweet hut, summer memory station and those places have much better customer services . The little snacks they sell on the shelves are about 30% more expensive compare to elsewhere too.
