Chances "R" Restaurant & Lounge

Was out on a weekend motorcycle ride with my family. Haven't been there in 20 plus years. They really updated and have a wonderful looking establishment. 5 out of 6 ordered chicken fried steak it was phenomenal. It was as they call it-just like Grandma used to make! Would have rated it at 5 however the drinks were slow to come around the table. With a table of 6 why do you shy away from leaving a water pitcher? 6 guests most generally are a needy bunch. Where as 2 may not be as such. My suggestion- leave the water when requested. Great food great personalities

Went for mothers day. Food was good. Dessert is great. Once we got seated and our waitress got to us it went quick. This place has been my mothers favorite since i was a kid.

Had a lunch soup and salad bar. It was very good with a nice selection. And of course the best part was the bread pudding for dessert! Good price for two people.

I really want to love Chances R, especially being a local... But after having dinner there this evening, I just can't bring myself to. My jumbo fried shrimp were lacking flavor and seasoning, and extremely bland overall. My mashed potatoes were lukewarm and tasted like they were made out of a box, with the gravy tasting like plastic. Very dissapointed, and hope that they can turn things around. It is way over priced for what you get and would sadly not recommend it to anyone... My turtle cheesecake was great however, but that was it....

Everything I've had here is good but not great, I'm not local so I guess I'm not biased into believing this is the best place in the world. Service is usually fine but like anywhere every wait staff has their days good or bad. Ive had some amazing steaks in Nebraska but not here. Don't be afraid to try it out.
