Definitely worth going to!!! Absolutely delicious, very friendly staff. Cooked to perfection. Definitely add the onions to the classic beef. Too good for me to even put any sauce on.
Got a beef sandwich each for me & "the Mrs.," mid-rare, of course, we split fries w/ gravy the Mrs: "Total Baltimore"... I tried the horseradish sauce which was very, very good. Will return soon.
Saw this place on Man Vs Food, Diners Drive ins and Dives and had to come and try it out. It was definately worth it!!! Friendly service. Friendly customers as well. Definately a must have when you come to Baltimore!
This place is so hyped I was worried I’d be let down, but every ounce of hype is matched by an ounce of quality beef. Fast service, top-tier quality. Meat is properly rare, the homemade sauces are excellent. Fries were fresh and greasy, coleslaw was also surprisingly fresh with the perfect balance of creaminess, sugar, and acidity.
OMG if you love pit beef, go to Chaps immediately. Get at least one Big John. The Raven is also excellent. Come to think of it, you really can't go wrong, so just get whatever you want
I get the same thing every time. Triple D with Extra+Extra Sausage and a side of Gravy Fries, EXTRA GRAVY. The HUGE portions, the price, the tiger sauce, the quality NEVER change. No one does it better in Baltimore. Just smell that delicious bbq smoke as you drive down Pulaski and you'll know where to go!
Visited Chaps after a lil hiatus. Wanted to give the OG a chance to redeem themselves after my last disappointing visit. Maybe they knew that cuz my sandwich was awesome! Pit beef and turkey, tasted the pit to the last bite.
I'll admit I only came here because I nerd out over The Wire, but this really lives up to the hype. I had the crab cakes at Faidley's and they were okay, but this was legitimately one of the best beef sandwiches I've ever had. Gotta get that Tiger Sauce on it.
