A small library with a big space for kids. Adult section is limited but the kids section contains age wise books. Has a lot of computers though and free internet as well. Staff were nice and place is quiet libraries duh
I've switched entirely to e-books, so I don't come to the library often anymore. I still use my card for e-books, I just don't need to visit in person to do that. Pretty much the only reason I come to the library is because I need to print something. Who has a printer? Not me. Printing was free for a bit at the library which was nice, but they've started charging again. It's only 25 cents per page for black and white and 50 cents per page for color which is well worth not having to deal with a printer for me. This isn't my normal library, but it was on our way when we were running errands so we stopped here instead. There's a convenient app you can use to upload and print your documents. The reason for the lower than normal rating here is because none of the librarians knew how to use it. The app is straightforward if you're adding a printer for the first time. Unfortunately, I had my normal library set up already and couldn't figure out how to add another library. The librarians only seemed to know how to repeat the instructions on the sign which assumed you had never set up a printer before. I ended up having to email the stuff to myself, log into a computer, and print from there which is more time consuming. The computers also turn off immediately 10 minutes before it closes so I was in a race with the clock. It shut down seconds after I clicked print. I hope they get the issues with the app resolved so you can have more than one library or inform staff how to do that. Until then, I'll stick to my normal library.
It was a pleasant experience! The security guard sat me in an area away from others seeing I had my elderly mother with me. He made sure to pull out a chair for her. I was very impressed! And the forms I printed out were free! Now, how cool is that!
Great location, definitely a helpful staff. -2 strs because this branch definitely needs a face lift. South Blvd got the new location it needed. ImaginON is and has always been amazing! uptown has officially closed for years for a brand new remodel. I guess WB will get a remodel or new construction as the neighborhood becomes brighter.
Although I usually just zip in and out to pick up my holds using self-checkout, the staff always give a warm and welcoming hello. I'm so glad that the West Boulevard Library is my home library.
I love coming here cause is close to home but they are a couple staff members that make me uncomfortable and that are rude . one female and one male.the female seems to have a problem with me when I'm returning things in person she doesn't say hello nor thank you to me she seems to be annoyed by it when I go to do returns .the other male guy seems to always have a bad day. But overall I love the library.
This is a nice library. Book and DVD sections are ample. Staff is nice, but not friendly. Magnetic chalkboard is fun for Littles. They have a few, but not many puzzles. Scavenger hunts and word games available sometimes for older kids. Parking lot is small, but never a problem on normal days. Restrooms are nice, clean and updated. However, there is no changing table.
The library itself is OK - kinda small, but you can always request tons of stuff. However, my car got keyed apparently randomly - I hadn't encountered anyone in front of a security camera but security seemed unsurprised and didn't follow up about it. Now I don't feel comfortable coming here, especially with my kids, if arbitrary vandalism in the parking lot is considered normal and tolerated.
Staff is very nice and helpful. Always a pleasure of coming here and reading.
Definitely helpful and not busy. If you need to get in and out...or even find anything they have it. Staff very professional, sanitary, and helpful! Check them out!
