The Charlotte Museum of History provides a premier learning experience about the Carolina backcountry, exploring the early history of the Charlotte/Mecklenburg Region. We provide quality educational programs for students and adults. Another priority is preservation of the Hezekiah Alexander Home Site.
"The Charlotte Museum of History engages and educates residents and visitors about the settlement of the Piedmont Backcountry and the history of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region. The grounds include seven museum exhibits along with the 1774 Alexander Rock House, springhouse, and kitchen. Guided tours available each day at 2pm. Last entry is at 4pm.
