A place with an incredible atmosphere. Simple, but very clean and pretty. The food was perfect. The sushi, for the price, was very large, felt fresh, and had great flavor. The gyoza tasted amazing, from the texture to the flavor; the portion was perfect. The only thing that I didn't love was the buns, I've tried better ones, although they weren't bad. In short, an 8/10. Parking: Is on the back of the place.
The staff was very busy with to-go orders and customers inside but they still were able to seat us in a reasonable amount of time. The atmosphere of this sit-down restaurant was very relaxing and communal, sharing long tables with other customers. The apps and sushi came out fresh but didn’t overfill, it was a great dinner. Sooooo recommend the lava buns! They are a sweet bun kind of dessert. Vegetarian options: There are many ramen and miso options across the board. For those who are pescatarians, all the sushi rolls had some combo of shrimp, tuna, yellowtail, or other kind of fish. Lots of fresh options that don’t have meat. Parking: I’d estimate 40-50 spots in the back parking lot, and some street parking Kid-friendliness: Kids are totally welcome Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs can get through the door and there are low tables where wheelchair users can eat with their friends and family
We came for our daughter's recital celebration. We were treated so well. We are a family of 6 so we had a somewhat big order between apps, entrees and drinks. Things came out in very good time and was super delicious. Our 4 kids loved it. There was nothing that wasn't full of flavor. The portions are big. We didn't realize so we had to get some to-go plates. They also gave us complimentary Shishito peppers yum! and cookies for kids. This is our new Ramen bar. We didn't feel rushed and had a great time. Would recommend for families and for an intimate date night.
The food was delicious and the service was fast. The only thing that made the whole experience feel odd is that once we ordered we were asked to pay and tip before they could start on the food. It just felt weird, especially because I didn't notice the people that came after us pay first.Food: 5/5
Incredible. Can’t say enough good things about the food. The gyoza were the best of the four dishes we tried. Which says a lot given that everything else was show stopping.
Kirin is an excellent place to eat, great food and appetizers. I never have liked any kind of kimchi, I really like it here, very fresh and doesn’t taste like an old nasty sock… like most kimchi does. Good service and quaint little place!! This will be a regular stop!!!Food: 5/5
Honestly some of the BEST kaarage fried chicken in cbus‼The portions are HUGE. The small can easily feed 2 people and the large can easily feed 4-5. The noodles and sushi can be hot or miss for me but the tan tan mien is pretty tasty. the noodles also come in large portions. The drinks are worth trying too Food: 4/5
It was super good! We got the Xiao long bao soup dumplings, the kaarage ramen, miso ramen, spicy tempura ramen, peach green tea, and mango green tea! It was all very good Food: 5/5
A bit disappointing. This used to be a top ramen place in Columbus, but my visit tonight was disappointing. Ramen was plain - didn’t even come with the obligatory soft-boiled egg. Chicken karaage was made with made with whole thighs - sounds appealing but made the dish too overwhelming. Could not compete with Meshikou or Kyushu’s fried chicken. The food wasn’t ’bad,’ but there’s a lot of ramen competition in Columbus….
Great food! Loved the tuna crispy rice. My daughter got the chicken ramen and it was very tame and not too salty. The noodles were great and the chicken was tender.Food: 5/5
