Chelino's Mexican Restaurant

We’ve been eating at this restaurant for at least the past 10 years. I like that they give everyone their own queso and salsa. My favorite is the Chicken fajita Chimichanga. However, this time I tried their Shrimp tacos and I must say they were good. My husband had their Chicken fajita tacos al carbón plate and they were huge. Didn’t come with lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole or sour cream. So if you like those ingredients in your tacos you must ask for them. Otherwise they still were good. My daughter got the Barreda taco plate. They were ok, except she said they were too cheesy and greasy. Overall this restaurant is really good and large to accommodate crowds. If you’ve never had so papilla’s, I highly recommend them for dessert.

It was a nice place to take the family. The kids enjoyed the TexMex food and was a pretty quick turnaround on everything. Which when you take a few hungry little kids is almost as valuable as the food.

This particular location is the best!! NW Expressway The Food is always spot on everytime & brought out hot & fresh. Yes, they had price increases as everyone else did, but they refuse to use cheaper meats & ingredients like most other places. Raise the price & lower the quality is not their standard. The Manager is always out on the floor engaging with every customer & the staff is at your table several times checking on you!! Absolutely love this Chelino's, all the other's are no comparison.

Great food! Nice size portions! Friendly and accommodating staff. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because there were a lot of um..."fuzz bunnies" in the a/c vents. Would not have enjoyed them falling into my food.

Colleague wanted to chat about prospective employment opportunities in the future over lunch. I had been before different location so we embarked on the journey of Chelinos They definitely have speed and customer service skills on another level at this place! I had the chicken soft taco and chicken enchilada lunch. They fixed my hunger! The food came out hot. The staff got our order out fast and accurate. The chips and salsa/cheese - delicious! The price was just right. I was very pleased with this visit. When in the area again I will stop in as they definitely can fix hunger and cravings. I ordered from here through door dash a lot and the food is great. However I decided to take my friend there last night about an hour before they closed go in order my food I order the tamales and a mango margarita. When I get my drink it is a regular margarita. I didn't want to cause problems so I was like okay I'll try it, it was tasty. Unfortunately when I got the tamales they were very dry had very little chili on top and appears to have been microwaved. Upon tasting them they had no flavor, I was very disappointed. To top it off once we received our food we didn't see our waitress again until it was time to pay the bill. We decided to order dessert I got the Mexican apple pie she ordered the churros. It took forever to get our dessert when they seeved the apple pie it was on a skillet that was piping hot which I expect it to be a little hot but this was ridiculously hot. I wait for it to cool down grab a piece that was close to the ice cream and ended up burning the s*** out of my tongue. My friends churros were hard as a rock. Plus as I'm trying to eat the dessert I hear staff at a nearby table cleaning and one of them tells him to come pick up our dishes. Mind you the only dishes that were on our table are the ones we were eating out of. At this point I felt very rushed and very uncomfortable. I won't be returning. I felt like I spent $72 to flush it down the drain. Very disappointed.

This location in my opinion is by far the best one in the Metro!! The food is always amazing and the majority of the staff has been there for many years!! Thank you for always taking care of my Family & I. This is definitely our go to Mexican spot for dining in our grabbing it to go!!Food: 5/5

Took a while to take our order. When the food came is was not what I ordered. I told him I would go ahead and eat it. The first bite it was cold also. It forever to get my grilled peppers and when I got them they were cold. $13.00 in the trash. Won’t be back anytime soon.

Pros: 1 Tasty food 2 Good prices $10-$14 avg 3 Queso included 4 Friendlg staff Cons: 1 Complimentary salsa is disappointing, like all Oklahoma City salsa, but is arguably better than other OKC locations

The meal was great.The prices for lunch were reasonable. The waitress was very accommodating to us when asking for different add ONS, etc.Food: 5/5
