You can eat in, pick up, or order delivery. I have both had lunch at China Delight and ordered delivery many times. When I eat in the waitresses were always fast and friendly. The delivery drivers were also swift to deliver and friendly. Half their menu seems to be drinks - not a drinker but I assume it may be VERY busy at night. Not saying they lack choices - their menu is pretty large and they have lunch specials that are cheap and yet can be filling. Not so busy during the day so lots of seating. Even went there a couple of times during winter snows - nothing like hot Chinese food during a snowstorm. Pros - lots of choices, cheap, only charge you $1 for gas when they deliver, also give you napkins, a plate, and a plastic fork with the delivery food. Or at least they have with me. $12 min. for delivery. And you can order via phone or online. Cons - the place seems small and dark, which some people may not like. They only deliver within 3 miles which is why they only charge you a buck for gas unlike those places that charge you $3. Addition - been hearing a lot of complaints about the China Delight lately and decided to order some delivery. I have been ordering from other places a lot this past few months. Ordered China Delight Chicken and Spring Rolls. Delivery was fast, the food was good, and I had nothing to complain. Came with polished rice, napkins, a fork and a fortune cookie as the new photo shows. Nothing wrong there. Addition - I decided to go eat in today and there were a few issues. The lunch special no longer comes with soup, which is sad, and the waitress showed up late which meant the cook was taking my order, answering the phone, and watching his daughter. IT was Spring break. But besides that, and the fact they still use plastic straws, I had no problem. No, really, my Lemon Chicken, fried rice, and spring roll was hot when it got to me and the mustard that they use at the restaurant was ten times stronger than the stuff they put in the packet. Boy, was I crying. And I also got my fortune cookie with my meal. All good! I think what people don't seem to understand that China Delight is less of a sit-in restaurant that happens to do take out and delivery and more of a Chinese take-out and delivery place that happens to have room for people to dine-in. I really had nothing to complain about.
Should be no stars and Dept of health investigation should be opened to determine freshness of food provided. Food disgusting. Chicken was a hard rubbery texture and beef overly soft. Both “meats” texture undefined doesn’t not shred like meat or taste like it. Don’t know what I’m really eating. Broccoli and Chinese veggies were bitter and undercooked. Just all smothered in sauce. No one eating in or ordering at restaurant -that should’ve been my hint to leave. Food cooked by Hispanic person. Missing an entire order and no eating utensils given I only had 3 items had to drive back to get it -no apologies by lady at counter for missing item and when I got home I realized lady overcharged me a few dollars. Tax is 5% for takeout not 18%. No receipt was provided as I paid cash. I NEVER had such a BAD experience in a takeout place. NOT ONE THING WAS RIGHT - NEVER AGAIN !!!!
If you are hungry DO NOT order from here! I had to call to see where my order was after 55 minutes and it still took another 15 minutes. I asked the driver why did it take to long and he said the rain. It was NOT raining! The Sweet and sour chicken was soggy and rubbery. The breading was not good. I called back to the restaurant to complain about the late service and he said it was the driver’s fault...verbatim...”not my problem”. I got a watered down sorry at the end of the call. If they don’t plan to improve their service and food then they should call it quits!
China Delight, used to be one of my favorite places to eat for the following reasons: 1. Great customer service 2. Food was on point anything I tried 3. Prices were reasonable. Now I no longer frequent the place for the following reasons: 1. Horrible customer service 2. Food quality poor. The reason for the dramatic change was the change of ownership. The previous owners were great. I used to recommend them to everyone, now I caution people from going there.
Terrible food quality. I ordered for my son general Tso chicken and it barley had broccoli in it. He almost got sick off of the texture of the chicken. I spent $21.00 on my order and his and had to throw his in the trash. Don't go there and you won't be disappointed.
Terrible service and food is cold and not that much. When i asked to replace a dish because it contains Female hair, waiter started to look closely and she didn't believe me. At the end She took it, heat it, and then bring it again. Absolutely, That wasn't the only problem. DON'T go there if u want to eat !!!
I've been living in Arlington for a few years now and haven't found a Chinese restaurant that was actually good until tonight. I just order from China Delight...delivery was very quick, employees were nice and the food is delicious. I will be ordering from them again in the near future!
Decided to try this for the first time. Crispy Beef had no virtually no beef, only the crunchy part. Found piece of hair in the lo mein. General Tao's was mushy, but it was free after spending $50. Duck was OK though and liked that you can order online, but won't be going back.
So, this is your typical fast food Chinese place, with one exception. The food is consistently awesome! For appetizers, the spring rolls are dynamite! Best I've had from a similar place. I'm also a huge fan of the shrimp toast, but it can be a little greasy. Dinners: My favorite is, by far, the Shanghai Shrimp. Its a big spicy with jalapeno slices, but man is it good. As a backup, cashew chicken and hunan shrimp are great. I always pay extra for more shrimp in the hunan dish, but I plan for leftovers.
The food is always delicious from China Delight in Arlington off King Street. I'm a creature of habit so I always order shrimp fries rice with extra shrimp, General Tso chicken, fried chicken wings for my hubby, and noodles for my daughter. Live, live, live the food. I wish I could find a half way decent Chimes restaurant in College Station Texas. I digress. I even get a chance to practice Chinese whenever I visit. Awesome service and very delicious food. Shea Shea!
