Christ Our Shepherd Church

We have felt so loved and welcomed here. We enjoy and learn so much from the services and our children are learning and growing in the children's ministry. The people here are authentic and you truly are welcome as you are.

If you in the search for a friendly and welcoming Church in DC you definitely need to check Christ Our Shepherd. The congregation is amazing, the teaching amazing and the music uplifting. Never been to Church or had a bad experience in the past? Give it a try. You may be surprised!

It does feel weird to write a review of a church, but I've gone to this church for 5+ years and it's been very impactful on my life. The two pastors, Stuart & Bo, have been at this church from the beginning and rather than grow a mega church, they feel called to invest deeply into the current members of the church. Stuart's preaching is very rich and deeply theological. Bo's is theologically sound and always gives practical ways the Scripture applies to our lives. The building is a beautiful stone building near Eastern Market. Unlike many churches in DC where the demographic skews younger, this church is very intergenerational. You have young families, elderly, middle aged, and people from all socio-economic and racial backgrounds. If you invest, it will become a great community. It's the healthiest church I've even been to and the most biblically sound. Warning: Services are between 2-2.5 hours long, but very worth it!
