We lived here for 2 years and were very happy with our place. The maintenance staff are fantastic, any repairs we needed were handled quickly, and the one time I got locked out the on-call person was able to come in a very reasonable time frame; really friendly people. I know prior reviews noted car-break ins; while we never had any problems, there did appear one isolated incident when one of our neighbors had her car window broken; aside from that in 2 years I never saw or heard of any crime in the complex. This really is excellent value for the rent paid. It's a very quiet neighborhood with good neighbors, responsive staff, and just a nice apartment to live in; we'd be happy to move back again should we come back to Detroit.
My first encounter was most pleasing. My Auntie loves her new place. The hard wood floors are beautiful and very roomy.
Everything looks good on the surface until you move in only to find that there is a lot of work that needs to be done on the inside. Slow on handling maintenance orders, staff not that friendly. I moved in two weeks ago and actually the unit was not move in ready. Had I known this before hand, I would never have moved in. Still waiting to have kitchen drawers replace. People that lived here before me were smokers, place smells like cigarette smoke, bathroom sink has cigarette stains on it, ceiling fan is yellow stained due to cigarette smoke. Have turned all of these problems into the office. Waiting on results.
I have not had the opportunity to go inside and see it personally but from the internet everything that I see is beautiful especially the wood floors and the spacious rooms and also the fact that I can bring my own washer and dryer I have my own personal laundry room. Just in very bad location. This place needs security around the clock
Upon moving into this unit my mother was extremely happy. She was able to care for her sick husband close to the available hospitals and I would be able to come and assist her. Times began to get difficult so I needed to stay more because she was unable to lift and transfer my step father the sicker he got. So I was around more. I was able to get a good look of the apartments as well as the surroundings of the complex. Inside the apartments are amazing. The unit she has comes with hardwood floors, washer and dryer in the unit, 2 bedroom, 2 bath, dish washer, refrigerator, stove, only having to pay rent and electric. The bedrooms are a nice size with one bedroom having a walk in closet. The other closet is pretty small. The flooring for the living room, dining room and kitchen are also a nice size. Now getting past all of the good things that catches your eye in the beginning. After being here to help her not even a week my car was broken into. Items were stole out of my vehicle and insurance paid upwards of $4000 in damages and repairs. After that my mother started speaking with some of the people of the complex and come to find out that it wasn't as rare and many thought it was in the complex. One neighbor mentioned his daughters tires being stole, another neighbor mentioned their car being broken into. The office even indicated that they had multiple break ins during this summer season. After getting my car fixed I was more cautious of my surroundings. I began to pay closer attention to the lack of security circling the lot, the maintenance that half way did their jobs I still have issues which they had supposedly come in to fix which is still pending i.e. smoke detector alarm battery needing to be replaced as well as the fixture for the light above the sink. Some time passed and I looked out my window in the middle of the night and see someone walking fast from in between my car and one of the neighbors vehicles. I know what you may be thinking, o he must have one of those vehicle that attract vandalism. Well I can't say for sure. I have a 2012 Chrysler 200. There is nothing special about my vehicle that I can tell besides maybe the factory rims. There isn't a GPS system or any of the fancy toys that come with these newer vehicles now a days. My mother complained to the office again regarding the lot not being watched. You would have people jumping the fence that surrounds the complex, they put a new fence up to enter and exit the complex and there is nothing secure or safe about it since any number of cars can drive in once the gate is opened by someone. Now just last week I noticed that someone attempted to break into my car again, my passenger side window was cracked up and I was highly upset. The complex was notified and indicated that it would be escalated and now its 7:00am and I'm looking out the window to keep an eye on my car until I can get my mother out of this complex and away from the nonsense. All in all I will say if it wasn't for the high crime rate and suspicious looking individuals this could be a decent place to stay so close to downtown, but because of the issues listed above and the monthly cost I would advise you do your research before considering this as a place of residence.
My mom has lived here for years and nice quiet place. Nice to be gated off hard for visitors to get in and out but good security. Matience also has it ups and down but its bare able.
These pictures were taken October 1, 2021 and I'm still waiting on them to approve me for new carpet in 2022! I'm going to leave this right here
I love living here great place quite too. Lovely apartment and maintenance is also a plus staff is nice too. They keep the place nice.
It's clean and we'll kept, it was a most to get a security gate system, a lot of cars were stolen out of the parking lot, while the owners were asleep.
I give them no stars !!!! They let people break into your cars steal your cars and it’s nothing they can do about it !! Two of my cars got broken into and one got stolen they gates are always broken they are overrated !!! And unsafe !!!! Do not move into these apartments
