This bank is an absolute nightmare, filled with incompetent employees who couldn't handle a simple task like opening a second account. After Ieft the first bank, I found this one hoping for a reprieve. However, he sent my partner's card to the wrong address even though the address is on the account, then cancelled both of our cards when I reported it! An employee offered a temporary card, butas no surprise to anyone, it never worked. This bank's incompetence is astounding. I will be one of the first people in on Monday morning to close all my accounts and running far, far away.
I had an appointment today at 11:00. Citibank confirmed appointment via email yesterday. I showed up on time. The teller tells me no one can help me because there's no banker working. Citibank closes most NJ branches, so I came into city and get very frustrated.
Just awful. After trying multiple times to connect with various bankers without success, I finally had a meeting set up with the current branch manager, John. I had some important questions for him regarding my PPP loan, and I cleared out my schedule to attend the meeting. Once I arrived at the branch, I was sat in cubicle with a different teller, who had no idea what the answers were to any of my questions. Anytime I had a question, he would run to the back to ask John, and then return. I was informed that John was on a call and would not be able to help me, despite the fact that the meeting was set up a week before. I insisted that I see John, who finally emerged, incredibly flustered, and told me he "was on a call and can't help it if his boss changes things at the last minute." Of course, a call or email to me to reschedule the meeting would have been appropriate. I got approximate 2 very frantic minutes, after which he ran back to his call. I have a bunch of questions that remained unanswered. I sent an email to Dorothy Dembrowski, who supposedly manages my account, to tell her what happened and never got a reply. I have been a Citibank customer both personal and business for 20 years and this treatment is appalling.
While the branch can get things done, deposit checks, getting money orders, etc, they don't have good customer services. One time, they didn't get paperworks done, and asked me to come back urgently. I mean, why should I come back if you didn't do your job correctly. Recently, I scheduled an appointment at 3pm, the manager called me immediately, asking to move to 3:30. Then when I actually went there for 3:30, no one greeted me, or took care of me. I sat for 10 min, and went back. I'll try not to go to this branch for any appointment.
Inertia is the only reason to maintain a banking relationship with Citi. AWFUL, basically non existent customer service. Totally unresponsive to telephone messages. The message to clients is clear: take your business to Chase.
The only reason to continue a banking relationship with Citi is inertia. Every interaction demonstrates less business competence than what a customer has a right to expect from a kindergartner’s first lemonade stand.
Randomly blocks your cards many times per month. Very nice situation when you are traveling in Asia.
I have been doing business with this location for atleast 7 years...I can't imagine people have so much time to say bad things about this branch...I have nothing but good experiences here...people who work here try really hard to provide good customer service and smile. Sometimes I see new staff since they move around people but never had a bad experience and I'm taking about 7 years in a row.
Disappointing customer phone service. This is a high-profile branch, yet the listed phone number is serviced by a foreign call center. So the "representative" has no clue about answering if a notary is available. I googled the direct branch phone number, which rings, but appears to be manually hung up by an employee, so that it transfers to the moronic call center. SHAME ON YOU, CITI!
Website said hours of operation are 8:30 am till 6pm I went there at 5:05 pm on a Thursday and they were closed
