The owner does not have any business ethics! He charged us $20 each rent for two rotten bikes with missing parts. My husband insisted on completing the deal, because “Neil sounds nice in the phone.” Well, if he is truly a nice person, he shall tell my husband his store is not a proper bike rental shop. And he is only nice on the phone. Wait to see when he is questioned. DO NOT TRUST HIM !!!
I came here to trade in a bike. He showed me what he had, the bike looked okay and he charged me $40 for a tune up I'm not sure why I paid a tune-up fee for bike I was just buying for him that should have been ready to ride but then the gears started slipping. I asked a friend to look at the bike and he tells me that the bike has been horribly assembled. That the bike components did not go together, 8 speed parts on a 10 speed bike. All the compontents were incorrectly assembled and incompatible. I take the bike back and tell him what's wrong. I was hoping to either get my old bike back or be refunded the $40 for the tune and try to get it fixed somewhere else. I had my friend make a list of the things that were wrong with the bike so he wouldn't try to gaslight me. then he proceeds to Gaslight me telling me that there's nothing wrong with the bike. I tell him the list of things that are wrong with the bike and he continues to insult my intelligence but tells me that he will fix the bike. He works on the bike for 45 minutes well saying that my friend doesn't anything about bikes. during the 45 minutes that I am patiently waiting for him to rectify his error he takes the bike out to test drive it multiple times and I can see that the gears are still slipping on the bike while he is riding it. He finally gives up and then tells me that he will only be able to give me $20 of the $40 for the tune up. I asked him why he can't give me my full refund and then he tells me that he was going to charge me for the installation of the basket from my old bike to the new bike. I told him there is no way that he is going to charge me $20 to switch the basket off of my bike and then I had to start videotaping him while going over the list of things wrong with the bike. He got really angry start screaming and cussing at me and then threw the remaining $20 at me. This is a sad man that drinks on the job of a poor attitude. I have the video.
Neil is actually so nice and has excellent Business practices! I am not sure what really happened with that women who gave a one star but I have been coming to Neil for years and he is honest, trustworthy and does great work at great prices! I tell people about him all the time and no one has complained yet! Yes, go to this place!
Refused to refund me after selling me a faulty bike that has been put together with incorrect parts. Put 10 gear shifter on a bike with 8 gears. I return to the shop with the bike, he works on it for an hour while insulting me and he still didnt fix it. He rode it multiple times and the gears were slipping everytime. Then he comes back in and tells me he wasnt going to refund me. I have video of him yelling at me and then throwing money at me after I told him I was gonna tell the bicycling community about his ineptitude. Do not go to this man. He is disrespectful, he is not a capable mechanic and has horrible business ethics.
Came all the way from baton rouge to buy a bike. Was led to believe that they were having an end of the year sale. Once I got there i was told that their "sale" price on a 1980s rusted out, horrible condition peugeot was $350. Their "sale" price on two late 80s trek 1000's that were in ok condition was $500 and $400. I am convinced the price went wayyyy up the second he saw I wasn't a crackhead and had nice clothes on. Complete waste of a trip. Don't waste your time
Purchased or referred 4 bikes from him for the last 7 years since 2011. Helpful guy. Great place to buy used bikes or repair your bike. It's a little off the main road but it sits close to the bike path. Would recommend to any passerby.
Worst repair experience I’ve ever had by far. Avoid this place and the bike mechanic Neil at all costs.
Laid back no frills bike repair. Nice guys with good prices.
Looks like a great place with good service and prices
This place is always willing to help with the best prices.
