Throwing things away is cathartic. Helped my stepdad clean out our storage unit and we had a big load in our trailer of junk to dump so we cruised over here. They weight your vehicle and you have to out a cash deposit to enter the location. Then you drive to where you need to be. They have sections for yard waste, tvs, refrigerators, and mattresses. The crew directed us to the big building and we reversed the trailer in and got to dumping. The line was kinda long on the day we went but it went fast. Pro tip: make sure to wear eye protection in the dumping area and bring at least $100 cash for the deposit.
Small load residential compost? Arrived at about 6am today and quickly checked in. We followed all the signs ended up at wrong locations. We ended up speaking with at least 4 reps in the yard. Please make it easier for residents to find the area for small load compost. We could not find the right location. One rep stated that the area for small load residential compost changes routinely. We were eventually directed to the trash dumping zone. I had 6 large black plastic bags of compost material. I unloaded them next to a large pile of roofing debris. Hey, at least we avoided filling our alley trash bin..
The website isn't clear, If your weight is over 2000lbs plus trailer and truck or equal to 9000lbs so there is a $45 cash deposit even with a monthly water bill. If there is no water bill, it's a $55.00 fee and it's not refundable. Update: I think it just depends on who's working the window that day because I have been charged, not charged and told many different things by different people.
Called ahead of time to get directions and instructions to drop off a truck bed load of miscellaneous building materials & other disgarded items. I was told there was a $38.70 per ton charge with a $10 minimum. When I arrived the girl at the gate informed us that a $20 hold was required to unload the truck. She would not take the $16 we had cash and we had to make a second trip to get the $4 we were shy. I wasn't perticularly happy by the grin the girl kept on her face as she took the $20 and let us through. Also, you do not get to dump anything without a fee unless you have a water bill in your name. Considering the amount of traffic unloading at the same time of day we were, there was no wait and we were able to unload in under 15 min. Overall it cost us $10.
If you live in Phoenix this is where the recycling happens. Very large city of Phoenix transfer station. I was able to drop off an old refrigerator. The location will deplete the freon allowing for a safe disposal.
It's a dump... Lol get it... Dump.. to be expected busy Saturday morning but the workers keep things moving smoothly, and prices are ok.
I pulled into lane 4 with my load of residential trash with I was hauling myself and was told I was in the wrong lane and to go back to 2 or 3. I asked why when the sign says residential self haul just like the other two signs. The puzzled look followed by stammering let me know that I would not get a reasonable answer, so before I left to go to the back of the line of 2 or 3 I informed the attend that they should take down the sign.
Notice!! Starting 12-1-22 - Bring your water bill or it is $100 cash deposit. We came on a Wednesday, not busy at all. Lady at the window in Lane #2 surprised me with asking for a water bill. She said I needed to give $100 cash deposit. So we turned out butt around and went to find nearest bank. The organization with arrows for the dumping process was cool. Follow the yellow arrows for residential. Nice big covered building to dump inside. On the exit. Make sure you pull up and reweigh at the red shack, get some cash back. Happy dumping.
Free once a month for city residents makes this easy and convenient to take our overflow monthly trash for disposal. Monday's typically have a longer line wait time but even so, moves along quickly enough. The employees are always courteous.
If you do not pay your trash directly or it’s through an HOA be prepared to pay minimum fee of $30.00 to dump at this location. Lots of rules and I’d suggest checking out their website for details prior to arriving.
