This was my first time going to City MD. I was a walk in and I waited awhile to be seen as there were many other patients waiting. However, this facility is very modern and up to date with check in and patient information. The office staff is very respectful, friendly, attentive and accommodating. The medical practitioners are extremely professional, caring, and thorough in making diagnosises and they really give a patient options. Overall, I was very happy with my experience going here and I definitely would return here for future care. I highly recommend CityMD! 5 Stars! I'm glad I chose to come here for care today.
the wait could be better for sure, but this uc makes up for it in so many different ways. their front desk staff, nurses, and doctors are amazing in every single way! the doctors are especially very nice, understanding, informative, and actually care about your well-being! parking kind of sucks and the waiting room is small, but like i said, everything else makes up for it. i go here anytime i need it and i always advise others to go to this location as well if needed.
Absolute crooks. I called ahead of time and asked extremely specific questions about what qualification the so called “doctors” that were working that day had, to see if they would be able to treat my mother who has a very common condition by the way. They told me they were definitely qualified to treat her, so we made our way in. We waited for over an hour which I was forced to stand mostly the whole time. They charge $225 just to walk in the door and don’t even have chairs for people to sit down. Almost half the people in the waiting room were sitting on the floor. After a long and exhausting wait they called my mothers name. Not even 5 minutes later I get a phone call from her pleading for me to come back there to speak with the doctor. All he said was he wasn’t qualified to treat her. I asked him “Why did the person on the phone tell me that you were?” He said “They just say anything to get you to come in, they don’t know anything” And then I asked him “So this was all a waste of time?” He responded with “I guess you can say that”. So there you have it. I’m not the type of person to leave reviews. It’s one of the worst feelings in the world to see your mother unwell and dragging her out of the house into a chaotic urgent care, just to be told they can’t help her. They should’ve told us when I called.
Our first experience here was good. The pediatrician there was able to diagnose and give right medication to our kid. The second experience wasn’t great. They could not diagnose strep that our kid had. We learnt of it 3 days later when we were able to find an appointment at our regular riverside practice.
After my visit I needed 2 prescriptions. The PA who saw me Kalyn Cedrowski was excellent - she was incredibly knowledgeable and thorough and I could tell she really wanted to make sure all of my concerns were addressed and that I would be feeling better soon. The front desk employees on the other hand were absolutely horrendous. I sat at cvs going back and forth 5 different times as only one of my prescriptions went through to the pharmacy. Rather than look into it, the employee from the front desk at City MD told me to just wait and see. I called back and asked them to please double check that both prescriptions had gone through, which they assured me numerous times that they had even though the pharmacy only received one. Finally, City MD just stopped answering the phone as they were about to close - even though the issue had not been resolved, and even though I had specifically said “I need to make sure this gets processed before you close so I can’t just sit around and wait and see”. When that happened, my husband walked there to try to catch them before they left. When confronted in person, they had to actually look into it. They told him that apparently by accident only one of the two scripts I needed had been signed off on in their system, and now the doctor had left for the day so what were they even thinking for the prior hour that I was contacting them while the doctor was still there?. My husband asked if they could please contact the doctor to have the script signed off on and processed - The front desk employee stated that he is now “off the clock” and refused to contact the doctor who could have easily rectified the situation with a quick call to the pharmacy as this was not a controlled substance or do anything to help me. “Off the clock”!! Can you imagine?? The level of professional incompetence and just general disregard for me as a human being in need was completely mind blowing. Really pathetic.
Visited this office for a covid test around July ‘21. Covid testing is completely covered by my insurance. 15 months later I get a bill from CityMD saying I owe them $200+. After digging into it with my insurance, it turns out they coded my visit & diagnosis incorrectly so that they insurance can’t pay for the visit. Proceeded to wait on hold for an hour in order yo get this issue addressed and they refused to work with me. Their customer service is essentially non-existent…along with their call center. Now stuck with a bill that would be covered by insurance at any other testing facility. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.
went there a couple days ago for multiple symptoms and discomfort and pain. they told my it was just a cold and that there are lots or viruses going around. took them 3 hours to finally get me in a room. after getting a room took about another 45 mins to come in with a doctor. 2 day later i went to hospital told them the things that were wrong and also told them what the urgent care people said. good thing i went to the hospital they prescribed me 2 medications that i NEEDED or my symptoms would be worse and got me in and out within 2 hours. city md is the worst urgent care i’ve ever been to in my life
Waited two hours been here since two thirty, I was very obseving of my waited time. They told me an hour ½. Wait? No problem, however they by passed me for the white women and men that came after me They signed in and they saw the doctor, I am still here at 4:40. All I need is a chest x-ray. Hoboken. They just let me sit there without asking any questions. Now they're asking me for my information after I submitted it in there system. The receptionist is asking me for my information. I asked her you was just going leave me sitting in the waiting room without assisting me. It's a joke to her. Insensitive! Now they have me in room 6, just waiting.
Staff is great, as well as most of the doctors. One male doctor seemed rushed. But this is the one Urgent care that I constantly go to when I need to. Long wait, though. I hate those machines because it takes too long to get in before other ppl who come in after you, especially for someone who types slow
Visited to check on some chronic symptoms I was experiencing. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful and the wait was for about 20 mins to see a doctor. The doctor kindly wrote me a note referring me to a hospital A&E. I got a follow up call 2 days later to check up on me.
