Owner was working by himself and had at least 15 carryout orders while we dined in. He never once seemed stressed or overwhelmed by the amount of orders he had. He didn't roll his eyes or sigh when a customer came in. This should be common sense but unfortunately most restaurant employees especially family owned treat customers are inconveniences. Good service, good food, and good vibes. This is our new favorite spot because there's 5 of us and we never agree on what to eat. CJ's has something for everybody. Good for your soul food
Great bbq sauce. Rib tips are good and smokey, but sometimes tough. Side portions are in small cups. Needs to be bigger. Great mac n cheese and baked beans. Nice staff. Convenient location.
Ordered a perch sandwich with the works except cheese. Perch was so crunchie, didn't taste anything it was like they fried it without the fish, didn't know fish could disappear. The perch was cut in half, no whole pieces, then the onions fell off because it was diced not slices. Probably should have been on a sub bun. It was like I had nothing to eat. Only good thing was the customer service. Going to try them in a couple of months to see if they correct the problem.
I'd never eat there. The lady with the short hair was very rude. And I see the bald headed guy drop food on the floor and still serve it. On top of that I always see hookers running out the door before the bald headed lady gets there. I don't know about this place. Seems like more going on than just food being served.............
I had their telapia fish, mac n' cheese, coleslaw, and funnel cake for the first time...I'm hooked! Their food takes me back to down home WV with all the flavor.
Food was ok. The sides are very small so I'd suggest getting a large. 45 minute wait time even though they said 15 minutes. Customer service was cool but not great.
Don't waste your money!! Rude customer service and food is not good. I went to order and this lady with the really short hair was very rude. .meanwhile there were no customers in there. .while fisher and chicken located in front of them. . u couldn't get through the door. ..
Reasonably priced..good simple soul food. Food always on point. Never dissappoints in terms of taste. However I.m sure this place looses alot of business because of their weird store hours. They close way too early and on days other restaurants would be open for business..they are closed.
This is by far the best fried fish in Columbus at a reasonable price. Fast, friendly service and it's always made fresh!
I've been here a couple times. The times that I've been there the service has been GREAT, the food has been EXCLLENT. I will be visiting the restaurant more often!!!!!!! This is a classic example of a really good hole in the wall restaurant!!!!
