Classic Diner

Those who read me know the fascination I have for mom and pop diners. This is one of my favorites. The treatment here from the first day I went is wonderful. It's like if I sat down to eat in the dining room of my house. And of course, the breakfasts are very good!!! I recommend it. Another hidden gem of Va beach!

A 50s vibe, but not necessarily a facade, the Classic Diner feels down to earth and authentic. The breakfast, the Classic Hungry Man Special, is very filling and a good deal. I also recommend the sausage patty. Delicious! Servers were polite and the food did not take too long to arrive. Atmosphere was pleasant! Overall, this place would make you feel good in the morning!

Virginia Beach, Virginia - the “Classic Diner” is without-a-doubt, my BEST-EST VB eatery find in a long, long, long time! … the smiles were non-stop, the atmosphere is super-riffic, the staff of smile-riffic “Christy”, super-riffic “Dee” and grill-masters “Paul” & “Claudia” are a standard to emulate … I came for the “Chipped-Beef Challenge” & left with “Run-A-Way Bill” Favorite everything - food, servers, customers & staff of smile-riffic pals … the “Classic Diner” counter seating option is my favorite where I can watch the skills of the grill-masters in action, but table & booth seating also available … “Been There, Seen It, Done It” & will do it again … Thank You Very pARTy Much pARTy Pal Team! … todays “small” Route 66 Philly was enormous & tasty-riffic !!! BTW - the “Chipped-Beef” is the best I’ve eaten in Virginia Beach … quality & quantity for a FAIR smile-riffic price! … the only place where the servers to EARN a “Run-A-Way Bill” FAVORITE on my 1st visit 07.11.22

Food was hot & delicious; great service as well.

The waitresses were yapping away when I walked in. The cook had to actually get their attention to sit me. I was ignored most of the time. Customers were hacking, coughing, sneezing, blowing their noses. Not something you like to hear while you’re trying to eat. When the check came, I waited 12 minutes for her to come back and finally had to flag her down. Yep, I left a $0 tip and wrote on the slip that a review is coming on Google. And so I did. Food and service is 10x better around the corner at Brickhouse. Go there.

Every community should have at least 1 place like this. Not fancy, simple, homey, friendly. Basic food done Well at great prices and hard working staff that remember you and make you feel welcome.Food: 5/5

Amazing service with a smile! Great food! This place was popping! Super busy and the grill was cranking! Food was great and we missed the apple pie... they sold the last slice... it looked amazing with all the whipped cream on it too! The service was perfect and they checked on us and topped off our hot coffee and sweet teas. We will be back again!

Classic Diner is located in the Providence Square Shopping Center. I heard about this place from a friend at work, so I decided to come out and try them as I'm always up to trying something new to me. My visit here was on February 16, 2020. When you see the place from the outside, it doesn't look like much with other places right next to it. However, once you come inside, you will notice it is a small place, but it definitely has the look and feel of a diner. It was busy, but not overly busy when we came in, so we were immediately seated. The table had ads on them as well, which is typical of a diner. This was in the morning, so we were here for breakfast. Within a moment or so, our server was at the table asking if we wanted something to drink and if we were ready to order. We weren't ready to order food yet since this was the first time visiting. When she came back with our drinks, we were then ready to order. I got the French Toast Deluxe with bacon and eggs. My mom got the House Omelet. A little under 10 minutes after ordering, our breakfast orders came to the table. They were nice and hot, including the eggs and bacon. The French Toast was very good, along with the bacon and eggs. My mom liked her omelet as well. Throughout the visit, even though it was busy, our server was very attentive as well. Overall, this was a very good first experience here. You don't get to see too many places in this area that have the feel of a diner. With great food and service, even though it's a bit further away from where I am in the city, I will definitely come back after the pandemic subsides. If you're looking for a good place with a diner feel in the area, you should definitely check this place out.

I went there for breakfast before I went to school and let me tell you, it was amazing! The customer service was amazing. This one waitress is probably the best waitress/waiter I've ever had. I wish I got her name. The food was amazing and the wait wasn't even that long. The environment of the place was very welcoming and peaceful. I place looks like a place where you'd go eat in the 70's-90's and it's amazing. It felt kind of illegal or like I had no manners if I had my phone out. I will definitely be coming back :
