Rick's Cafe

While in Virginia Beach, we found this little dive place called Rick's Cafe. We have noticed it year after year, but finally decided to go in and give it a try for breakfast one morning. It has tables and booths to sit it. It is family run. The waitresses were AWESOME! The food was great! My scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly. The biscuit was buttered and grilled! The home fries were delish!!! The bacon was nice and CRISP! And the prices were very reasonable! We will be back to Rick's Cafe whenever we are in Virginia Beach again!

Very great atmosphere, delicious food, and our waitress Karen went above and beyond to make our first experience enjoyable! She was very knowledgeable in the restaurants history, gave us background on the owner, gave great detail on how the food is prepared, and even shared the weekday specials with us! We'll definitely be returning!!

Don’t bother going to any other breakfast spot in Virginia. Once you come here plan your time around this café it’ll be the best decision you make your entire vacation. You can always tell when food is prepared with love and this is it. Absolutely a wonderful experience

The food was so much better than expected. The sausage gravy was perfect. No additional seasoning needed. So was the bacon. Everything was perfect!Food: 5/5

The people at Rick's have always been amazing!! Friendly, fast, and a great sense of humor. I've been coming here for years. And I've been recommending people to go here just as long. They are definitely a "locals favorite". They will be sorely missed if they ever close.

Stopped here after passing by all the oceanfront joints with lines out the door. Glad I did. The food and the service were excellent. I would give 5 stars, but they don't offer Blueberry topping for pancakes.

I've been here before. I love breakfast food! I love food! But for some people, this is for the people who don't cook much. Always referring to, 'They have the best this and that!' I get it. But to put forth the effort to get dressed, drive to this place which is way out of my driving comfort zone for just breakfast and then ordering breakfast. I don't know if it's worth all of my time. I get it when people have their favorites and what's the best for them. This is a google review. I've been there and I'm not here to trash the place, but the food wasn't that memorable whereby I was disappointed by my co-workers' best recommendations and never went back. I don't even work with this person anymore. I do remember the place though. And it was so long ago and it's still around. So good for you guys! If I ever make it back from eating at more breakfast nooks in my lifetime, I'll have to remember what was so great about the place. I'd just got on the website and the pics of the food are lookin' good! Any place that serves tater tots is cool in my book!

I've been going here since 2016 and love every meal I've had. Our absolute number one go to in VA Beach. My only wish is that they had the workers to go back to 24 hour open. Seriously good home cooking. Will definitely be back again soon.Food: 5/5
