Clover Joe's

Limited menu, only one employee working who doesn’t wear a mask. I have heard Clover Joe’s has the best cheesesteak in Charlotte so I decided to give it a try. I ordered a cheesesteak with peppers and onions, chips, and a drink. I like that they use sliced cheese instead of Cheez Whiz. I ate it immediately when it was hot off the grill. It didn’t have a lot of flavor; definitely needed more seasoning.

Decided to try Clover Joe's again after being disappointed with their "Joe's Rueben" on yesterday. It was good but, not enough meat on the sandwich. I got the cheesesteak today and yet again not enough meat but, it tasted good. Not worth $7.50 to me. I had their Italian sausage hoagie a few years back and it was delicious and had plenty of meat. I will not be going back at all. I wish Phil's Deli would have been opened, I would have been definitely satisfied. I would not recommend that anyone go to Clover Joe's at the moment. Don't believe the hype.

Great food and great service! My husband LOVES their cheesesteak and I tried the burger and fries today. Had to cut the burger it was so big but SO delicious! And the fries are amazing! A must go to for walk up or delivery lunch.

Visited here 8-25-2020. Lady behind the counter let us stand there and read through the entire chalkboard menu before brusquely informing us that wasn't the menu. The "menu" was on a small posterboard under the chalkboard menu and very limited. No fries. No drinks, only water. A basket of "chips" that the flavors don't really go with a cheesesteak. No napkins. No salt or pepper. My sandwich was so-so. Bland tasting, little if any seasoning. If you want provolone cheese, keep going. They used some kind of cheese sauce. The service was fast, and my wife said her sandwich was ok she doesn't eat cheese or weird cheese substitutes. Definitely not the best cheesesteak in Charlotte. Lady was rude. I'll give one star since my wife was somewhat satisfied with her sandwich.

I've shown up to this place 3 times now to try this philly cheesesteak that's raved about, once on the weekend, which they're not open on, so shame on me for not checking. Once on a Friday where I was turned away and told they're closed and out of steak at 1pm and now again on another Friday at 1pm where they were closed presumably for awhile already. I would like to try this philly cheesesteak, but getting tired of a business that isn't ever open. Please update your hours. Somewhere. Anywhere. On google, on Facebook, on your window/door. You need some kind of set hours that people can rely on. Until then, this is an aweful business, I hope your cheesesteaks are atleast good.

My wife and I went here because they claim to have been voted "Best Cheesesteak in Charlotte". Boy were we surprised. The bread was stale, barely any meat, cheese was not melted and they got our order wrong. We were highly disappointed. We did get there just before they were closing, so I will give them a slight pass, but closing or not, you should provide good food anytime you're selling it. Me giving this place 2 stars, is being generous.

I try to limit myself to eating lunch here once a week... Not because I couldn't be happy eating something different from here every day. Great "fair food". The fresh cut french fries are perfect! It just occurred to me I had no idea why I haven't written a review before! Try the cheese steak for sure! But all the other hoagies can keep up with those fries and the burgers are pretty good too!

Best brick and mortar food truck like restaurant in town. Their hand cut fries are amazing. I double down with the burger too. It is a bit on the greasy side, but you can tell the meat is amazingly fresh. I dare say it is the best in Uptown. All of their other sandwiches are amazing too. Lunch time does get busy. Try to get there around 11:30am if you can.

Got a meatball sub, which was tasty. Only one employee working at the time; they were friendly and got our food out in the expected amount of time.

Cheap, fast and delicious. I am so hooked on their Philly Cheesesteak and fries. The bread they use is delicious. The meat is tender and flavorful. It has the perfect amount of cheese..omg yum yum
