Nice restaurant in D.C.. The cocktails and the calamari was a really good way to start. I had the shrimp scampi and it was delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked and definitely a must try. My friends enjoyed their entrées as well. I love the feel of the restaurant. Nice lighting and interior with a nice bar as well. The service was nice and efficient. Highly recommend this place.
Clyde's was on point as usual. I got there around 11:30 on a Sunday morning and by the time I left an hour later the restaurant was packed the bar had the World Cup final on TV. Great food and an awesome cocktail made my lunch amazing. I got a grilled chicken sandwich and the A-Pear-ently It's Fall drink. Jasmine, my server, also brought a small wedge of warm crumb cake. Delicious!! First floor has a bar and dining area, but the second floor is where everything happens. Another bar, tons of booths and tables, and there's even an indoor patio area. Jasmine was the best, she took very good care of me and made sure I had everything I needed. Check out Clyde's for a casual, laid back dining experience.
I have come to Clyde's every time I come to DC and decided to have my birthday brunch here today. It didn't disappoint. The service staff was attentive and polite. I opened with mussels and had the lump crab cake as an entree. Both were gorgeous and delicious. I finished with a blackberry shortcake. Highly recommended.
We went around 11pm on a Thursday. It was crowded. We went too late to be seated by a hostess but we were allowed to sit at a booth in the bar area. We ordered food from the late night menu. The crab and artichoke dip was just right. It wasn’t oily. The chili was delicious with the sour cream and cheese. The crab Cake was tasty. We would go back again.
We were from out of town and decided to catch a hockey game. Unfortunately it didn't occur to us that finding a place to eat before the game would be so hard. We walked into Clydes and it was mobbed. At least an hour wait and we had 2 young children. However the manager on duty saw our struggle and managed to seat us right away. Amazing customer service and I'd give 5 stars just for that! Food was delicious and service was top notch. Go here.
great!!! loved it here, our server was so sweet!! great menu for selection and everything was so fresh, highly recommend the oysters rockefeller!! the patty melt is just amazing, it’s like fancy comfort food - perfect for a cold day. fish tacos are also great, portion sizing is on the smaller side, but still fantastic.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: NoDelivery: NoCurbside pickup: No
Omg this place was delicious!! We were there during brunch and they brought us coffee cake. That was the most amazing cake. Everything was fresh the wings were crispy on the outside and extremely juicy on the inside!!! I am from Tucson AZ we don't have anything like this out here
Not at all what you expected from the outside! It feels like your dinning in a museum. Very chill vibe. The staff were friendly and full of smiles. Our food were delicious. You get a lot of your money portion size. Highly recommend. Very close to the train station-Gallery place, China Town and close to the stadium. Highly recommend for sure!
Where do I start. I swear this place reminded me of Cheers! Literally down to earth bar tender, wish I could remember her name. I ordered the fish tacos and they were seasoned to perfection. The beans and rice weren't the best so I'd suggest fries as your side but you be the judge. Inexpensive stop for a quick lunch the bar and conveniently located from several hotels in the area. Stop by check it out and if you're not a fish person try the chicken combo 1 I think it is.
Had a reservation for a party of 10 & it took about 10 mins to be seated. When food started to arrive at the tables, the staff didn’t seem to know who had ordered what - they seemed to just sit stuff anywhere instead of asking who ordered what. Luckily the waitress stopped by when entrees were delivered and ensured the appropriate folks got the correct meals. I ordered the curry chickpea cakes which I ended up sending back for a crab cake instead I personally did not like the chickpea cakes at all. By the time my crab cake came out, half our party was gone now down to 5 instead of 10 but the young man sat my crab cake at the end of the table where no one was sitting - literally in a sea of empty plates We ordered dessert as well and just like the rest of the food, there was a ton of confusion about who ordered what. There just doesn’t seem to be much structure in that area. Staff is very friendly though. The food was okay, the dessert menu had no mention of this weird raspberry sauce with the chocolate cake which I would have passed on had I known it came with that. The calamari was amazing and the crab/artichoke dip would have been great if it hadn’t been burned so bad, about 1/3 was pretty much black. Slightly disappointing experience & probably won’t return, but again, the staff was nice.
