Coco-mat

I purchased several thousand dollars worth of linens there since 2018. The manager is usually dismissive but their sales woman was super nice the last time and even carried my linens home with me since I live very close to this location. So I went in today at 6:20 to buy a bed frame and vanity I saw on line but the website is confusing and has no prices. I have been looking at furniture for months. The sales person was nice at first and then suddenly said they were closing early. I asked if they wanted me to leave and they said no I could look around. I asked about the dimensions on a vanity and they said I could look it up on line. They had to google it to find it on the site. I made it abundantly clear I knew what I needed and was ready to make an order for a bed frame and vanity but got the signal I was not welcome and said thank you and left. Now I have a bad feeling of ever having purchased anything there. Sad because my budget is big. I have to refurnish my entire home. Going to get my linens, which btw I replace every year, from somewhere else from now on. So that's about 15k and 1k per year that just walked out the door.

Some of the best service I've ever had in my life. Both the employees were intelligent, knowledgeable, and kind. We went in to browse and actually found our next mattress and pillows to top it off! They fed us snacks, served us up some wonderful delicious green tea, and engaged in friendly conversation about both the products and our lives. I couldn't recommend this store more for a wonderful personal shopping experience for any of your bedroom needs. They have a varied product array that all consist of all natural non toxic substances. Our trip to Coco-Mat was easily a 5/5 and we are super glad we stopped in. Not to mention we very much look forward to taking delivery of a supremely comfortable new mattress!

Was browsing linens and had just taken one down from the shelf when I was accosted by one of the employees, who accused us of disrupting the order the stacks we hadn’t - they were out of order to begin with… and ordered us to instead have her take them down for us. Very unpleasant shopping experience and won’t be buying anything here. At least put up a sign if people can’t actually touch anything in the store!

What an awful experience I had this morning when I stopped by this store to buy a gift for a family member hospitalized at NYU Langone. The man who was there was nervous and tense. When I asked him to wrap my $285 purchase he panicked completely. Not an attention, not a smile, not even a little of understanding why I was buying this gift. I asked for refund and told him that is was not good at his job. “I’m not here to be insulted” he said. It was not an insult Sir, just an observation.

I’ve passed by this store & have always wanted to stop in to browse but never had the opportunity. When I finally did I only had intentions to purchase a pillow but I also had MANY questions about their products. I was greeted by Maci who is so knowledgeable, pleasant & patient. Her demeanor is very welcoming. She allows the customer to browse, take their time but also checks in often to assist as needed with zero pressure. She answered ALL of my questions & did so with excellent customer service. Because of her, I ended up purchasing a mattress topper, sheets & blankets. She is an absolute gem & Coco-Mat is very lucky to have her! I made sure to acknowledge her excellent service & skills to her manager before I left. Please stop in, if not to purchase something then do it for the experience. I will definitely be back & hope to work with Maci again Maci, if you read this, many thanks to you!

Macy was amazing and patient. She explained all my options on pillows and even welcomed me back when I asked for extra filling. Best pillow I have owned and definitely recommend this store.

Caroline is excellent showed me around the store explained what everything is and the cost of products, Very generous and the best sales associate on Lexington ave. If anyone want quality home goods down from book bags to bikes to mattresses and baby cribs , You should come here , Hand crafted every item from Greece, Very beautiful I shall be back to purchase furniture from here definitely! I had the pleasure to work with Maci - who was super knowledgeable about the product and very accommodating in finding colors and sizes that I was looking for! I purchased sheets for my bed and they are wonderful and soft! I would recommend this location and Maci! She was cheerful, great conversationalist and helpful with the product!

BEWARE- We purchased a mattress, mattress cover, and 2 pillows 11 months ago and began using them last spring when we moved to our new place. The mattress and mattress pad are very comfortable. One pillow recently tore at the seam in the middle of the pillow, and white material littered out room for days before we figured out exactly where it was coming from. When we contacted the store, we were told they do not cover normal 'wear and tear.' None of our pillow cases have tears, but apparently, these 'luxury' pillows that cost over $100 each disintegrate pretty easily after less than a year... We are hoping our mattress doesn't suffer the same fate as there is no customer service to address problems with these 'luxury' products.

I visited Coco-Mat last year for the first time and I was hooked. Maylene was the one who made this experience amazing. She's super knowledgeable, a true professional and so pleasant. My next pillow WILL BE from Coco-Mat.
