My family and I had a wonderful experience! The service and food was amazing. The salads are delicious and so is the yellow rice. Our server Melinda was so accommodating and helpful with the menu. She made our experience amazing. We have visited the Sarasota area several times and my entire family would agree Columbia is our new favorite place.

The rice and bean dish I had, tasted like home cooked authentic Indian rice lentil dish. I was pleasantly surprised. Very well cooked and flavorful. Fish was also tasty and we enjoyed it with onion salad. Ambiance was great. Service was also good. Would definitely come here again.

This is a Cuban-Spanish restaurant in downtown Sarasota. Very nice decor inside, and a good way to beat the heat outdoors if outdoor seating isn't your thing. Great staff, friendly and attentive. Seated and served us for lunch immediately. Menu was great. Lots of choices: we got a tapas trio, the rest of the party got Cuban sandwiches. All of us loved the food! Definitely give this place a shot!

The food and service is consistently fabulous! The atmosphere is so unique and classic Spanish style. I always come to the Columbia when I am in Florida. They make you feel at home yet positively upscale. Truly spanish food and experience right in Florida, I had pork chops and mango sauce with good rice and a beer so great! If your not sure what to order Ask your server they will suggest great things for you:) Spanish bean soup is absolutely divine, salty starter with your bread. It does get very busy here around dinner time because they take their time to make your food fresh, so prepare to wine and dine and socialize the entire night. Relax and have a fun experience! Order some apps and drinks or just have some dessert and spend time with friends or family. The food is so good here and you must give it a try! relax:) They won't disappoint.

Not much can be said that hasn't been said already. Great food with a Cuban flare, hip scene, great spot for people watching. We had reservations for 7 pm on a Saturday night and we got right in at 7 despite the dozens of people waiting. The service was quick and warm and inviting and they moved people through pretty well considering the crown the restaurant draws. It is very loud however, so don't plan on a quiet romantic dinner.
