Story

Columbus Civic Theater is a semi-professional theater, seeking to raise the standard of theatrical productions in Columbus by producing high-quality live theater for a wide range of audiences. Our mission is to present the most significant work of the world theater canon.

We pay our artists a stipend, and we require in return dedication and professionalism throughout the production cycle.

We seek to engage, delight, and challenge our audiences. We do this in part by cultivating in them the skills and qualities of experienced theatergoers: a sharp ear, rapt attention, willing suspension of disbelief, and, yes, a great sense of humor! The reward for patrons is an appreciation of great theatrical works, brought to life by living actors-- there's no substitute!
