Lets get right to the point. I originally took a year off so I am an upcoming freshman. I stopped by the main building to get my financial aid situated. I first walk into the building, I met these three guards in the front. Highly disrespectful and the female guards were worse. Had an attitude and everything. I signed in with my mother and forgot where the guard told me to go. So I asked the female guard and she gave me and mother an attitude. Just because we asked a simple question. She was talking to us like we were uneducated individuals and proceeded to roll her eyes at us. Just because you’re having a bad day. You don’t take it out on student that is thinking about coming to this college. But moving along, we head to the financial aid area and we had this other older lady. Extremely rude also, didn’t answer any of the questions my mother had. On top of that she talked over my mother. I have never met such disrespectful staff members. They didn’t help or even treated us with some type of decency of respect. I regret ever applying to this school.

over All attending this school i am not happy they have people working here. Who have no idea what they are doing ! And always giving the wrong answers BE SURE TO ASK UNTIL YOU GET AN ANSWER YOU ARE CONFORTABLE WITH The security here sucks and they are never doing there job they are rude and always talking to students the might be students themselves. I never just see them sitting there. They are always on there phone n they don’t know where anything is either. However some of the teachers here are awesome and they are willing to work with you and help...

The teachers are excellent. Teachers are calm, well rounded and make themselves super accessible. The downtown location is a specially worth it if you’re exploring a new professional field but don’t want to spend four times the money. The main campus has had a $27,000,000 infusion of cash to upgrade the buildings and its library. The gym is not on par with universities but besides that I have found it to exceed all my expectations, plus he view is outstanding and your in the heart of down town!

Amazing experience. I had taken many classes at CCP over several years, but when I finally decided to take my education seriously the CCP community, faculty and staff stepped up. About to get my masters in social work because of that pathway to possibilities that started at THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE of PHILADELPHIA. I steer as many people as possible to CCP. The most problematic group of folks were some of the students who seemed to be more interested in the financial aid refund checks than their course work. Some students would be MIA for weeks and then want to argue with the instructor because they were unprepared to take a test.

Never has the classes needed to graduate. It's ridiculous that my education is determined by how many people sign up for a class & whether a professor wants to run a course or not. If they don't/can't run a course, FIND SOMEONE WHO CAN OR GIVE US A CHOICE BETWEEN MORE THAN ONE CLASS. By running this way, CCP does a great disservice to its students, putting our lives on hold is something that should be taken seriously. Also, towards Alex Iscoo's review - The people complaining are the ones who actually take initiative, seeks guidance or are just having a rough time. CCP does not do any of these students justice for what they pay. I know you probably took a no-name major that made it 10x easier for you to graduate, but people are actually devoted to serious fields and need serious mentors/professors to help them. Sure, we all get bad professors now and then, but this constantly happens and is just a shame. You also aren't being considerate towards those students who actually work and have a much more strict schedule. Myself for example: I have been working full time since I was 19, part time since 17, worked previous to that as well. It is extremely hard for me to find classes that are tailored to my major at the times that are of convenience. I am literally taking two majors because CCP never has the classes I need to achieve one, so I am trying to fill both when I can. CCP is like expecting me to quit my job in order to graduate - yeah, no thank you, I work at Drexel so as soon as I graduate this craphole I am off to free higher education. Now towards Klh Hm's review: Watch ya mouth, Prof. Dorsey is one of the best professors you could have, he doesn't grade on how he feels about YOU, he grades based on you putting effort into the class which is honestly fair if you know how his class works.
