i love Cotopaxi…my 2nd favorite brand Patagonia is #1 i fully support brands with a good mission that puts our planet first. i definitely recommend getting the Del Dia version of the Allpa 42l pack. it’s $25 cheaper, 8 ounces lighter, and 100% cooler! made from 100% recycled dead stock materials; kept waist out of the landfills and got a 1-of-a-kind travel pack.
I purchased my first Cotopaxi product just before leaving on a 24 day trek of the Annapurna and Everest Himalayas. It was a synthetic coat rated for intense cold that weighed nothing and scrunched into an extremely small space… exactly what I needed in terms of bulk and weight. It worked perfectly for the first few days until I came too close to dung-burning stove and the material burned while the bottom quarter of the zipper melted. Despite this, I was able to continuing using the coat for my remaining days because I could pull it on like a sweatshirt over my head. During most days on the trail, I had to take it off because I became too hot. This had not been my experience with other brands’ coats in similarly cold weather. Nights in the Himalaya were another matter, but the coat was surprisingly comfortable well, I wasn't literally freezing when combined with a thick fleece layer. That wasn’t what made Cotopaxi so good. What impressed me most was upon my return to the States when I contacted the company about the burn and melted zipper. They replaced the coat even though I’d worn it for a month post-melt; and, more importantly, they had me return the used coat for follow-up testing. I was so pleased that they cared enough about customers that they were committed to stand behind their products—they wanted to ensure we have quality, working products every time we enter the wilderness. I was even more pleased that they cared enough about customers that their research team re-tested the used coat to ensure nothing like this ever happened with any of their products again. Kudos, Cotopaxi and your sales team, for awesome customer service. You have a customer and fan for life!
Awesome store! It was hard not to spend a fortune here. Great helpful employees.
Was here last fall. The staff was great and happy to just chit chat with you about whatever. They were honest about their likes and dislikes for each item in a given situation. It helped me make an informed decision. We have a few different Cotopaxi bags/packs and have had no issue so far.
I went in to inquire on a damaged zipper the other day. The customer service was phenomenal! The second I walked in the two people working there looked at me, said hi and acknowledged my presence. I wasn’t the only customer there, mind you. I’ll be returning because of the level of respect. It certainly reflects the quality of the products. I wish I could remember the worker’s names but it’s been a few days and the experience stayed with me enough to write this review. Good job you two!
Incredibly helpful staff. Christian helped us find a very niche product and then helped mold it to our specific use case. Very grateful for his help!
Awesome, colorful, recycled, earth friend, urban camping stuff.. Beautiful, I freakin' lub it... And own half of it, but if you wanted to go to camping I'd highly recommend REI
This is a Utah company, which makes me feel proud. They make super cool gear- clothing, packs, etc- each piece is unique and colorful. Their corporate philosophy 'gives back', which is even better. Love Cotopaxi!!!!
