Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Fredericksburg South (I-95), VA

Nice place, clean, staff is finally, breakfast is standard fair in the morning. Pool is fairly large and clean. Has a hot tub that is also fairly large and clean. Rooms need some cosmetic fixes but like I said, it is clean and comfortable. This is definitely a good place to stop if your on the road to somewhere else. Easy to get to from the expressway. Dog treats available on the counter in the lobby.

Super friendly and helpful staff! They even provide complimentary cookies! The bed I slept in was like sleeping on pile of feathers. It was so comfortable I was asleep within 10 minutes of laying down! The room has everything you would expect from a Country Inn and Suites. There is a small refrigerator and a microwave. My room is also very spacious and clean. There is also food located within walking distance which is very convenient. Parking lot is also very well lit which made me feel very secure about leaving equipment in the car.

By far the biggest let down of an 1800 mile trip from the Coast of NC to Scranton, PA and back (with a couple hundred miles in and around Amish country adding to the total miles). We were exhausted and NEEDED somewhere to rest and my Husband said "AT LEAST $100 room because I want to sleep comfortably and not in a trashy place". Now, the pillow and the bed were great and the room was clean BUT for the price ($120) you expect to be able to decide if you want your room cozy and warm or FREEZING.... NOPE, not here! But you could likely get electrocuted because where you usually go to the AC unit and flip up the lid and find controls, in this room you find rusty old electrical boxes (see pic included) God forbid a curious kiddo were to wake up before a tired Momma and/or Daddy and open that up and get hurt!! The sweet, young lady at the front said "it's a really old heating and cooling system. You can control how much air is put out with the fan speed setting but it will be blowing AC unless the temp outside drops below 45....I have a tiny heater if you need one". It was about 60 degrees, maybe not quite and my husband and I both wanted heat, AT LEAST DURING AND AFTER A SHOWER. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! Also, the carpet around the door was disgusting, ripped and soiled. I have one star each for pillow & bed!

Rooms were clean, beds soft and inviting. Shower was hot and powerful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included, but would consider sleeping in next time and just getting Denny's from next door. Overall a great experience.

We stayed overnight for just one night and it was excellent. The room was clean and very comfortable. It was ready early before our check in, and express check out the following day was a breeze. There were fresh oatmeal cookies available for consumption in the lobby each time on our way in and out, along with complimentary hot coffee. The breakfast was delicious, they had everything from waffles to toast to eggs/bacon/hash browns. What a great place! If I am ever needing to stay in the area again, I would stay here. Great value!
