Great hotel. Very clean and is in a great location downtown. The amenities were very good as well. Downstairs bistro offers breakfast lunch and dinner and the bar is open 5-10. There is also a small store to buy drinks and snacks and a patio outside to hangout. Very professional. Would definitely visit again.Rooms: 5/5
No rooms were available once i arrived so I returned back in 6 hours. I got keys for a room that was not cleaned with all mess possible. Nobody apologized or even said sorry. Just oops.. No one at the front desk tried to make me feel better but just gave me new room and said that I was good to go. Can’t recommend the hotel due to service like this.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. The website states check in time is at 3 pm and upon arriving a little later than that at 4 pm the room that had been reserved for 2 years, for a wedding, was not ready. The room was not ready until 5 pm to which the staff said “the 3 pm check in time is not guaranteed.” Then on 4 separate occasions my card key stopped working when it was not next to my credit card and in a separate pocket. I had to go down to the front desk to get it fixed. When I asked how I could prevent it from occurring again they had no helpful insight and did not apologize for the inconvenience. Overall the majority of the staff was unhelpful and it really hindered my stay in the DC area.
I love the location and the staff is always attentive. Sadly, the amenities have fallen into dis-repair and the décor is in need of a big upgrade! The pool was cold, the main TV in the lounge was ripped out, and most of the ice machines did not work. The staff is always pleasant and helpful but they had no clue why everything was broken or missing. Marriot has their own featurettes playing on the TV in your room that showcases their commitment to the hotel experience. They talk about spending millions on architecture and paying attention to every detail. In reality, they can't muster anything better than Best Western!
Food and clothing stolen from the room and they had plumbing problems so the sink water would come out dirty at first and the shower had no hot water The front desk basically said sorry and to bad Nothing we can do I will never stay at a Marriott again. I suggest you also stay else where Or have a in room Camara to watch your things
As an ambassador member with Marriott, I was surprised at the level of service at this property. I even spoke with the GM, Kyla about my issues and I felt she responded in such a disingenuous way. First, you pay to have your vehicle parked via the valet service and you are charged $47.46 per day. I called down in the morning to have my car pulled up so I could remove items for my meeting that day. The valet attendant said to me, here are your key's, you can walk down into the garage to get your items outside of your vehicle???? What??? I told the GM and she made me aware there was confusion, they valet attendant was too busy and wanted to help me get to my car quickly, which wasn't the case, oh well. the GM offered me breakfast the next morning at their cafe. I went down the next morning to get breakfast and the attendant who was supposed to take my order had her ear plug in and was watching TV on her phone, I could see the phone in plan site. After a minute of standing there, I had to get her attention and raise my voice asking for her to help me. I emailed the GM once again making her aware that her staff was not a representation of Marriott and I would imagine not a representation of herself. Her email back to me was disingenuous and patronizing, not offering anything to make my experience better at her property, just corporate bs.
Room was large and clean, lady at front desk was very nice. Lost a star because the lady who was working front desk parked her truck right in front of the doors so guest can't drive their cars up to the door or be dropped off at the door because she is blocking the tiny entrance, we checked in around 745pm it was there, we went sightseeing still there, got back around 11pm and she was getting in it to leave. Other guests were saying the same thing about how the same truck had been parked there for hours
