Covenant House Florida - Ft. Lauderdale

Every single person is accepted into the covenant house if you decide to wait long enough. There are only a few people that actually care about you as counselors. These people are constantly hiring therapist who just graduated from school and they honestly don't stay long enough to notice the highest form of embezzlement. These people are making money off of homeless kids under 21. With all due respect these people are the scum of earth. Not all of them, but be careful who you trust because they will kick you out just as fast as they took you in. Every single person that is accepted, and when they get accepted, the state will send them a check for your well being and care but at the end of the day these pigs are making money off of you. Like I said previously, there are certain people there who really do care about you, and will dedicate the rest of their lives to helping you, but most of them are just committing fraud/ insurance fraud and embezzling the state money they get from having you stay there.

If i could rate this place a 0 i would, they force you to stay inside the facility until you're assessments are done which could take up to 12-14 days even if you wanna go for a walk they tell you "no, not until you're assessments are done" i literally feel like i was in jail there an some of the staff have horrible attitude like they bring there problems from home to work with them. Crazy place i swear if you wanna go to a covenant house i highly advise to go to NYC covenant house 460 W 41st manhattan NY 10036 ABSOLUTELY BETTER THEN FLORIDA!!

It is free to stay there they help kids that have no one to teach them basic life skills. They teach them how to apply and interview for a job. How to budget and clean properly. They do take their paycheck and dont give it back til they leave. They are given some money to pay their phones, clothes and other necessities. They offer free GED classes and pay for them to take the GED test. They also have incentives such as attending and completing all classes and assignments they give $25 gift cards to Wal-Mart or Target. They are there to help and there are rules but these kids don't think they should have them since many are over 18. You are staying there and being fed for free! People pay $1500 a month to live places and still have to pay utilities and food. Guess what! They live in those places with a set of rules to abide by. There are rules everywhere you go to school or have a job, more rules. So stop whining and follow their rules or find place else that will pay for your room and board!

Don’t go here! I repeat do not go here! . Your better off sleeping on the streets or starving. I literally felt unsafe living here. The kids that go here have unbelievable problems.... I got multiple (I want to fight you stares) from multiple people I didn’t even do anything literally nothing. The rooms are unbearably stink and smell like feet! I felt like I was going to get jumped! The only decent people are the staff the people that work there. This place is not an option. Ignore this if you want and go at your own risk. I was going to leave the next day and never come back but instead I called the cops that night and told them to come get me that’s how unsafe I felt. Literally I felt I would die here

i'm suppose to be going here on Friday can anyone who is there or have been there tell me how it is like for teen moms . what school you go to and anything i need to know before putting my daughter and i in this environment
