Yesterday I drove 6 hours from Wisconsin to pick up my mother-in-law from her boyfriends house who lives in creve coeur. I arrived at 4 am because of the long drive and work early monday morning. My GPS address was missing the house number but selected a house on his street. Immediately after arrival I called mom to let her know I arrived but with no answer. So now 4am I get no response so I decide to knock on the door of the selected address. Very poor decision. After ringing the doorbell and knocking with no answer a fine young police officer pulls up, then another...ok good they can help! They immediately inform me that this is not the residence I'm looking for and begin to interrogate me why I'm there. I explain the situation but they have no doubt I'm lying and decide to detain me roadside over an hour while they figure why I'm there. There is absolutely nothing I can say to convince them it was an honest mistake. I've never, as an adult, ever been treated so disrespectfully by an officer. After mom was located and the situation was resolved, (I was 3 houses down) they reinforced there threats about disorderly conduct and trespassing...for knocking on someone's door! Absolutely ridiculous. Unprofessional. I was respectful and cooperative the entire time to no avail.

I feel as though the officers in Creve Coeur, at night are always out to make any money that they can from people, if they can see you the slightest little thing wrong, they will get you, but, if you do anything major wrong, and you are the right people, it's OK, for example, I got a seatbelt ticket, cause I was too tired to drive, and they said that I was doing something wrong, when, I wasn't, so, I will pay that fine, and hope and pray that they will buy something with it that may possibly cause life problems for them and mess up their whole world.
