Hosted a baby shower for my step-daughter on November 18th, 2017. I was given a price of $12.00 each guest and .84 tax. This was for quiche, fruit cup, cupcakes and either tea or strawberry lemonade. Day of event, she claimed I did not specify lemonade(had children attending and knew they wouldn’t like tea), therefore it was not served. Placed $100.00 down in advance. Iced tea was served without ice. Food was okay, but portions are small. The servers took my step-daughter’s quiche away without asking and she had only eaten a few bites and did the same with her cupcake!! It was her event and she didn’t even get to eat the food. Like others have posted on Facebook, I found Claudia to be extremely rude. She was rude and demeaning to several of my guests. So much so that they complained to me. Not only was she rude, I found her dis honest. When she presented me with my final bill... it was $13.00 a person ( 22 guests) with .91 tax and then a $2.60 tip per person was added on! For $363.22, you too can host an event at the Crystal Tea Room, which was a beautiful, historic venue... but be prepared to be snapped at by the owner and to be over charged and to have her “forget” the agreed upon menu. (Which I had called earlier in the week and went over with her..smh).
Needless to say, I will not be a returning customer, nor would I recommend this venue to anyone I care about.
The only reason I gave the place two stars, is because it is a beautiful home and the food, albeit small portions, was okay. The two young ladies that served the food were pleasant, but owners rudeness dampened the event.

Between the historic home, excellent tea, incredible desserts, and delicious meals the Crystal Tea Room is a must for anyone visiting the city of Kokomo.
