Farm House Café & Tea Room

I was very disappointed today. I took my sister and cousin here for their birthdays. We each ordered a salad. None of the salads matched the description on the menu i.e. important ingredients were left out of the salads. In addition, two of the salads had way too many candied walnuts which overpowered the salad and made it much too sweet. When I talked to the waitress about the salads not matching their description on the menu, she readily acknowledged that it was true. She said they were in the process of updating the menu, but it had not yet been finished. When I suggested that when I ordered the salad I should have been informed, she nonchalantly agreed, but did not seem to care. It seemed to me that my waitress indifferent and the kitchen staff rather careless. I came to this restaurant three times last year and really liked it. After today's experience, I will be hesitant to come back

Today was my second time at The Farmhouse Cafe and it will be my last. My niece and I visited in early March and had awful service and they were out of almost every menu item. I chalked it up to being newly opened for the season and inadequately prepared. Today, 2 1/2 months later I took my daughter and her boyfriend and I was embarrassed for taking them there. The food quality was poor, the service was extremely slow. Our waitress was friendly but seemed over worked (skinny with short curly hair) The other waitress ( late 40s, but short with brown hair) was a bit tart and not waitress material- surly attitude. The prices on the food were typical cafe prices albeit a bit high maybe. $12.95 for a tenderloin. $3.50 for lemomade. $10.95 for chicken salad on bread. The flowers, yard ornaments and home decor prices are a joke! The local greenhouse sells Gerber daisies for $8.95. The same size pot at The Farmhouse is $14.95. If you are looking to buy a yard ornaments be prepared to spend triple digits. The beautiful setting and displays lead to a disappointing experience. The owners need to take a look at their business through the customers eyes if they want to stay open.

I wasn't aware that when I ordered a cup of the soup of the day that I was getting prison food. Food, service, prices and most everything sucked. Environment was cool but not cool enough to make this more than 1 star. If you have a lot of money and want some below mediocre food to go with your overpriced flowers, stop here. Everyone else, pass it up!

love this place good eating and the flowers you can buy are beautiful...so glad I only live 10 minutes from it....will be going again
