Ya’ll this one was ROUGH!! I read the reviews, so really it’s my fault for even attempting it here. Decker location is just so rough and the wait is SO long that I really didn’t want to have to go through all that today. So I decided to try Assembly. I moved over from Octapharma because I have deep rolling veins. And Octa doesn’t have good phlebotomist I ended up bruised for over a week the last time. Decker CSL has wonderful phlebotomists. I always have first time, great sticks every time they listen to me. Go in to Assembly this morning. I was impressed with the set up. Precheck stations are great! I get to the back and I tell her “I have deep rolling veins, I’m not an easy stick!” Well yep lo and behold she misses, and starts digging. She calls another phlebotomist over who digs some more. They get another person out of the office to come out, she instructs them how to dig more. It starts hurting at this point. She the woman from the office then asks me what I ate yesterday attempting to find something to blame other than a lack of experience. It then starts hurting really bad and the 2nd phlebotomist proceeds to get defensive saying, “I’m not doing anything”. I don’t care what you are or aren’t doing if I am telling you this ish hurts IT HURTS!!!! Clearly not my first rodeo! If you are not an easy stick DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!!! They do not listen or care period and they will blame you even if you give them every opportunity not to fail! Update a little over 2 hrs after visit. I still have pain and burning in my arm. Pictures below show where I am feel that pain. Have had to ice it down to alleviate the pain. Update: More than 24hrs after visit my arm is still hurting. The burning has stopped. I am starting to bruise pretty badly. Follow me for more reviews and an honest take on the places you want to know most about.
I am a Platinum Donor and I must say, there have been drastic improvements in their operations lately. They have increased staff, changed procedures and have oversight on the donation floor. I feel they are really trying to be more efficient!! Love the friendly staff too!
If I could leave zero stars, I absolutely would. The security guard and front desk personnel are very unprofessional and SELECTIVE about who the rules apply to at this location. It’s absolutely unacceptable, I understand that there are rules and regulations but handle it professionally and fairly.
Employees are very rude and mean would not recommend going to this place. The head receptionist is completely rude to customers coming in. Not to mention they are withholding payment for over a week. Otcapharma is a 1000 times better and more courteous.
You better know how the whole system works before going and basically be a trained employee because if an employee messes up you will suffer the consequences of their mistakes. I am being permanently banned after being told I did not donate and to come back tomorrow. I did not get paid for the day they said I didn’t donate but now they say I donated 3 times in a week and I am permanently banned. I said how if they told me to come back tomorrow and I did not get paid. I had 4 different employees approve me to Donate the next day but yet they say it’s my fault.
I have been a donor for 7 years. They’ve gotten new machines and have been working so hard to get up to speed. I donated today, and was in and out the door in less than an hour! They are working so hard and deserve all the flowers.
I have to say for my first time trying to donate plasma I was utterly and completely unimpressed. I just wasted over 5 hours of my day, 2+ hour round trip, for the last step in a 3 hour wait/screening process was to check my veins?? The first nurse thought I had veins, second nurse said I didn’t, no attempt was even made other than just feeling my arm and I’ve donated with large gauge needles before. I can’t believe I wasted essentially my entire day on this place, finger stuck, give all my personal information, to get turned away for what seems like the first thing that should be checked in a new screening process.
This place is a joke. They don’t take thing seriously and their not committed to doing they’re work they still need to be overlooked. The staff and management really needs to have a sit down to see what they can do to improve wait times, efficiency and how to manage their time properly while working. Highly dissatisfied I’ve seen better about from this place back in 2022, I’m not sure what has happened since then.
I am a student at usc and I use to give plasma at BioLife all the time but then with moving I was happy to see a place to donate. However walking in there it already seemed off. The front desk lady was very rude when I was just trying to explain my information and when I gave the same stuff as my boyfriend in front of me they deferred me. I was already frustrated with how rude the lady was but then when I asked my boyfriend for the car keys another worker was making fun of me right behind the desk and was mocking my tone to my boyfriend. I left and my boyfriend went to start the process and another worker was super rude to him saying he should’ve came in earlier because she didn’t wanna have to stay to do her job when the front desk person said it was fine and why have new donor appointments at that time. Also a 3-4 hour new donor process is ridiculous especially when there was barley anyone there. BioLife and Octapharma is only 2 hours
