One month in- difficult design for car loading, very poor provided carts for moving stuff- and twice now best ones monopolized by staff for their convenience see photo. Security at loading area is not great since it relies on folks to close door. Clean and seemingly vermin free, but a bit disappointing. We have rented perhaps a dozen units in five cities in last ten years- this is coming in about 9th so far
My experience at Cubesmart was great. The process of obtaining the unit was fast, easy and went so smoothly. The facility was very clean and organized. The experience was heightened with the savvy personality and skills of the General Manager. Chase was exceptional and his customer service was above board. My experience exceeded all expectations.
I was very delighted to meet the manager named Chase who was very helpful to me, being this is my first time renting storage space. It's nice to know that there are still companies with employees that care about their jobs enough to go out of their way to satisfy their customers/clients in a professional and respectable manner. I will be glad to refer others to this clean, well-kept storage company.
I've had a storage cell here for two years, but just moved out because the fee went up 25% from the already high increase of 13% after the first year. I knew it was going to be too high going forward, but 25% is outrageous. No reason for it, especially with so many empty storage units. Definitely not a long-time storage solution for me.
NOT Secure!!! Reporting to FTC! I moved into this storage unit in May and went back to visit once in August and things seemed all well and good. The second time I went back was on September 8th only to find that my unit had been tossed and I had been robbed of over 4,000 dollars worth of items. Not only was I robbed but my lock had no signs that someone had tampered with it.This lock was also purchased from the facility on my move in day. I reported it to the company that Monday when they opened and I reported it to the police that day after discovery. I feel as though this was an inside job and the company is not doing anything to make the situation right. Each floor is code protected & no one else has access to my storage outside of myself. Beware they only have cameras at the elevators. Its truly a bad fit for anyone looking to protect their items. I reached out to the corporate office and still have yet to be contacted. There needs to be an internal investigation and all of the camera feed needs to be screened. I believe many more people may have been robbed and it takes months before they even realize especially when you have a lot of items and barely visit. I know I cannot be the only victim of a robbery! It’s sad to say that I am looking into taking legal action if something isn’t done soon! I also paid for rental insurance and it has been over three weeks and there has been no movement on that part either. Long story short this location is not as safe and secure as it appears to be. If you value your items look somewhere else.
When I arrived I found the lock on the unit was damaged. While the unit is able to close and lock, it is less secure than other units in the facility due to the faulty nature of the latch. I expressed my concerns to the staff on duty. They made no discernible efforts to resolve my concerns besides a vague offer to repair the latch. I was told the unit I rented was the only one of its size available. I was not offered any other redress. I did not feel as though the staff took my concern seriously. They assured me my unit was secure even though the latch was clearly broken. They told me they’d take “special care” of it and gave me the impression my concerns were silly or unnecessary. I chose to stay with the unit I rented - mostly because I was in a time crunch. While the unit seemed more or less secure, “more or less secure” is below the standard I’d hope for when choosing a facility. Overall I was disappointed with the state of my unit, the service I received, and was left with a bad taste in my mouth. Expressing concern about a broken latch should not lead to me feeling silly for bringing it up with the staff. In my opinion I should have been offered another unit until the one I requested was repaired. I understand that might not be your policy and don’t expect special treatment. However that’s how I would have handled it if it were my business. Ultimately I chose to stay with the unit I was assigned but I can’t shake the feeling my belongings are unsafe. I won’t be staying with you beyond this month and when I return from the trip the necessitated me using storage I will be closing my unit out. Thank you.
I had requested several times to have the District Manager contact me regarding a dispute about a 20% increase to my rate fir a 10x10 storage unit after only 6 months of renting this unit. That would mean a 40.% increase after 1 year! This is a classic “Switch and Bait” and after at least 6 requests to speak with this manager he has still never gotten back to me to discuss this matter! This is the worst Customer Service I have ever had! My unit is the CubeSmart in Philadelphia on Callowhill Rd Please have someone get back to me before I post this complaint with the Better Business Bureau and on several other sites on the internet. On April 20th I stopped by the CubeSmart in Callowhill, Philadelphia and for the first time since the move in I walked into the office to inquire information on other units. I was greeted by Keisha who was very courteous and extremely helpful. She was greatly knowledgeable about the CubeSmart product and made great recommendations. She made my entire experience at this storage facility a pleasant one and will forever be grateful for all the help she provided. Keisha is an asset to CubeSmart and hope management recognizes her efforts. I recommend this facility not only for their customer service but also because they care about safety. They have a tight security system in place and one can feel comfortable going to their unit any time of the day. Thank you CubeSmart and a big thanks to Keisha.
Kelley was the sweetest, most helpful associate I have ever dealt with in the 22 years I have rented a unit at this facility. We downsized to another unit and she patiently answered all of our questions and even accompanied us to our new unit.
I love Mary! What a professional worker and very well with explaining the entire rental process, gives it to your real and honest. Is personable and professional. Friendly through hard times.
