Located within Discovery Place in Uptown Charlotte, Community Cafe is a children's cafe focused on educating kids of all ages on how to to eat a local, colorful & healthy diet. With a playful menu of lunch favorites and dishes that change with featured exhibits throughout the museum, Community Cafe features a diverse menu from whole wheat, grass-fed Sliders and local Ashe County Grilled Cheese to Sunflower Butter & Organic Jam Sammies with sides like Eggplant Fries and Sweet Potato Tater Tots. Don’t forget to save room for a snack from our Cupcake Corner or dairy-free and all natural ice creams.
In conjunction with the student-led and organized Trash Talk program, Community Cafe is also proud to feature a hands-on composting program that teaches kids and schools how to start helping the environment through composting and recycling.
