Curlie Girlz Rock A Natural Concept Salon

I used to love going to Naema and referred many people there. I’m thoroughly regretting my decision now. I sent my younger sister to her where she paid $70 for a wash, trim, and blowdry. She came home to me with her hair looking like the attached pictures. She left Curlie Girlz Rock bawling her eyes out. When I addressed the owner of the salon about her hair, her response was pompous and arrogant. She laughed at me multiple times during the conversation. Claimed she blowdried the hair completely and could get through it just fine. As you’ll see in the pictures, King Kong couldn’t get through my sister’s hair. After explaining my points to the owner, she responded that she guarantees her work and only provides the most quality work. If you guarantee your work and someone leaves your shop crying and with their hair looking like that.....that’s ok with you? Interesting. Needless to say, I’m thoroughly unhappy with the way my family was treated at her salon. I will never be back, I will never refer anyone there again. She does halfway decent work, but apparently it’s a toss up on whether you walk out laid, or just plain ugly. Take your chances somewhere else.

I started going here at a friend's recommendation. My hair has been its healthiest in years. It's longer in a curly state than it's ever been. I don't really get styles - I'm a wash and go kind of gal - but the one time I did a style, it was a flat twist out and it came out looking phenomenal. I love her shampoo and conditioner too. It's amazing. My hair feels so soft after a wash at home.

I love this place. The stylist is laid back, really pleasant demeanor, and knows how to care for hair. She'll recommend products she thinks will work on your hair and she also has her own line! She used some on my hair and I really liked it! The atmosphere is relaxing and really, realy nice with soft music in the background and candles burning. She seems to schedule her clients strategically, so there's never any long waits.

Beautiful Salon space, clean, professional, and so quietly welcoming! Never have had an issue with long wait times which is always worthy of 5 -stars!!! The owner / stylist is extremely knowledgeable and generous about natural hair care. One thing that I love about her, is she sells all the products she uses and actually tells her customers how to use the products.

Not worth the time or money…went for a simple double strand twist style and the parts were terrible. Stylist was very friendly, but based on my hair and the hairstyles of the other customers that I saw while in the shop, I strongly wouldn’t recommend.

The WORST blow dry and trim I have ever received and AWFUL customer service. My ends we’re so uneven and I was told “your ends won’t look good unless you flat iron your hair” I had to go home and redo my hair because the blow dry job was so bad that I couldn’t even run my fingers through my hair. When I contacted her to schedule the appointment I wanted to clarify the total cost because this was my first time going to her and instead of just telling me the total she accused me of not wanting to get my hair done. I wouldn’t recommend this woman to anybody. She does not take pride in her work, she is unprofessional, and has poor customer service skills.

I had the worse experience ever at Curlie Girlz Rock! I came in for a hair cut and a natural style and left with 2nd degree BURN! I was placed under the hair dryer for one hour with a cape draped over the hooded dryer only for her to tell me that I should wait 2 days to untwist her flat twist because I have a “Afro texture”.. okay no biggie! But when I got home my ears literally felt on fire. Within hours I had developed a boil on my ears. I called her the next morning to notify her what had happened and was very disappointed at her reaction. Instead of taking ownership I was injured at her salon, I was blamed for what happened to me without an ounce of sympathy! My ears are still healing and I’m hoping I won’t be scarred forever due to the salons dangerous hair drying practices. I will not be returning or recommending this salon to anybody I know for their own safety.

Went in for one style and left with something totally different than what I asked for. She was nice. The salon is small but very nice. I just didn't care for the style. Left with my hair corn rolled for a braid out but the corn rolls were done on tangled hair. She didn't thoroughly detangle my hair which caused a nightmare in taking the corn rolls out. I ended up wetting and doing my own twist out. I think I wasted money. The wash was nice. Maybe others will have a better experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Curlie Girlz Rock! I made an appointment only a day before the time I wanted to be serviced and Naeema was very accommodating! When I explained what I was experiencing with my hair she took the time and listened and explained the steps she planned to take to get my hair to a healthier state. When I told her I hoped to retain most of my length she was sure to only cut what needed to be cut! I left with restored healthy curls! I even purchased the Curlie Girlz Rock shampoo and conditioner to maintain my hair at home. I will be returning to Naeema for all of my hair cuts to ensure my hair remains healthy!
