Great food and service! This location is to go only. We ordered food from here for 2 days in a roll and tried around 12 dishes. I highly recommend their braised chicken with potato, braised pork hock, soup with ham, bamboo, tofu knots, and braised pork bone!

Delicious food. I got takeout and the quality was still great by the time I took it home an hour later. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Authentic Chinese restaurant with reasonable price. The score should be 4 but I rate 5 here for a higher avg points… should not be below 4 lol

I like to give zero star if there is one. Last Wednesday we have ordered a "take out" shrimp dish and especially told the owner that we don't want any spicy ingredients in it. She told us "no problem"... After I took home found out it so spicy that none of us can eat it, so I called the owner explained to her what happened, before I can finish what's going on, I was rudely interrupt by her loud voice, that she told me that dish is NOT spicy and it's not her problem... so I took picture of the dish with more than 2 dozens of red peppers in it and send to her. The she told me the peppers in dish is for "decoration", the dish is not spicy, see the picture attached below. At this point I thought either I was blind or she up to something, I still try to give her chance to correct the problem by offering to bring the dish back to her for exchange or refund the money. By then it's kind of late at night, so she insisted to refund me in Chinese dollar, we have paid her with US credit card. However, between not getting any refund or Chinese dollars, we have accepted the Chinese dollars since we do go to China sometime... Seriously, It's not worth my time to argue right or wrong here, just let anyone know, this place doesn't seems have honor, integrity or respect. If those things doesn't matter to anyone then it's a great place to go, or else be very careful don't offend them when they made mistake. Good luck.

Want to give zero stars. 6 of us went in Sunday 8/21/22 and shared many dishes. Bill was $160. 2 hours later all 6 patrons suffered extreme stomach cramps and diarrhea. Had to catch flights out later that night which were misery do to what we believed to be food poisoning. Please be cautious if you eat there.

Ume House was delicious! We got take out and everything was so fresh and flavorful and amazing. Can’t wait to go back!

DO NOT GO THERE!!! We 6 girls had dinner over there. And the hostess was very mean and she was unfriendly. And we all have loose bowels. One of our friends have a very strong stomachache after dinner

Had lunch there. Surprised that almost totally empty. Took their recommendation of HuangMengJi, e.g. UME chicken Casserole , then ordered sweet and sour pork ribs, and Gallic green veg. Besides the green veg, the other two were quite disappointing. Taste, color, materials were all sub-par, e.g. rib was not rib at all. I would recommend you not to take their recommendation, but ask questions of what and how they cook. Most likely will not return for 2nd time.

I'm wondering if I ordered 2 entrees, should u give me some rice? Or I should order separate? I'm new in town, I don't know how it works here. The food r delicious, but I need rice with it, now I don't know what to do, I called the restaurant, it takes me straight to voice mail

My wife and I went to UME House earlier this week. We have eaten at many Chinese restaurants over the years. My wife is native Chinese and as such has different criteria for evaluating Chinese food. Both of us agree that this is the best, most authentic Chinese cuisine we have experienced. The restaurant is located in the China Town Complex in Salt Lake City. I ordered honey walnut shrimp. My wife ordered a spicy cabbage dish. The service was fabulous. We were taken care of like we were dining in a 5 star restaurant. When our food came it was hot and very fresh. My shrimp was very fresh. It was cooked to perfection. The coating was lightly crispy and the sauce was both very tasty and uniquely matched to the dish. I was very impressed. My wife was thrilled with her dish. She said it was what she would expect to find at an expensive restaurant in Shanghai. When the bill came we found it to be very reasonable. Overall we both considered this to be the best Chinese food anywhere in Utah. We will go back.
