Da Vinci Middle School

It's a wonderful school with friendly people. But even though it's an art school, it's still school. I feel like they are very relaxed on the academics, and even though I'm an artist, it doesn't mean I dislike learning and getting a good education. They don't really enforce due dates or mark you down for it, even if you turn assignments in at the very end of the quarter. I personally don't find the teachers very informational, and they lack the skill to actually explain to the class from their view what we are supposed to learn. They heavily rely on videos, worksheets, textbooks, and chrome books for teaching us. I want to feel confident in my teacher's knowledge, but I often don't feel that. I personally find it easier when the teacher give us lectures or notes that they composed themselves because there's more of a human connection, which is vital in learning. They often just give us instructions, and expect us to know what we're doing. I am looking towards private high schools and can't say that da Vinci was the best option academically.

A safe, supportive community for youth to learn, grow, and take risks in discovering their talent. Both of my children were very academically and artistically inclined, making Da Vinci a unique educational opportunity in PPS. I hope that PPS helps this school become more diverse in the coming years. Nonetheless Da Vinci offered an amazing experience for my boys.

I’m a daVinci 6th grader and being an artist I like this school a lot,, definitely not the best place if you’re an introvert with no social skills whatsoever (like me) tho. But if you aren’t, cool. You’ll find classes specializing in choir, theatre, dance, writing, drawing, 3D art and even textiles. Most of the teachers are nice, I especially liked my writing class and my choir class (surprise, surprise) and I would recommend those classes for any newcomer to daVinci. This place is a really good school I don't go there but my friend said it was good but I rate it one stare cause it also does not do any activities but hosford does at there assembly they play games like jepoedy bloon popping tug awar and they all kinds a many moreso it's better if u go to hosford I go there and there teaching is really good at hosford I learned things I did not no before .
