Very disappointed today when we visited the showroom. No one in the store interested in walk-in customers or even available to ask a question. We just wandered around, did not like anything we saw, no one at the store even bothered to say hello or anything, we walked out.
Fantastic experience! They had a great selection of tile and made the process so simple. Staff was incredibly helpful!
I called ahead to make sure they had what I needed. They gave me a quote but when I got there they priced me almost a dollar more per square foot. I was wrong for not getting a name when I spoke to the lady. I was a bit peeved because I drove 50 miles to get there.
This place is HORRIBLE even arrived 3hrs BEFORE my appt time. It STILL took 12hrs to complete loading my trailer. I have been here twice with unpleasant experiences involving the amount of time it takes for loading. If I could give it a minus star I would unfortunately I have to give it 1 star.
Worse attitude and just plain rude to customers. If you need me to make an appointment then add that to your policy. Both women who are sadly always working are rude and just plain unprofessional. Its almost like they hired each other. I am standing there waiting on them. I have to greet and ask. After that they continuously run off as if the place is packed and they are helping multiple customers. The place is never packed. Then i get a "whats up, what do you need" as if i am her bestie. Its sad that they treat customers with such disrespect. Wish we didnt have to deal with them.
DISAPPOINTED! STAFF WAS VERY RUDE TO MY ELDERLY MOTHER! Took my mother who is in her 70s to select new tile for a sun room she is adding on. I want to help pay for the tile, and we saw good reviews about Daltile. Upon arrival at 1:30pm on a Saturday, we found the showroom to be locked and empty with a sign saying to “go around to the tent” for service. There we found two employees one male, one female. The female asked us for our appointment time. I responded that their website did not indicate that an appointment was needed. Instead of apologizing for any confusion, She said, “We’ve been doing things by appointment for at least 6 months now.” I asked how was I to know such if they don’t update their website. The woman then looked annoyed and stated that if I would give her my information then she would “pass a message to one of our designers to try and call you on Monday and set up an appointment.” I asked how long does it generally take to get an appointment. The woman became more frustrated and stated, “I don’t know. They will TRY to call you on Monday and set something up for later.” When I asked how long it generally takes between asking for an appointment and getting one; the woman became even more exasperated and said, “It will take at least several days.” I pointed out that we were here today, did not need a designer, and simply wanted to look to see if they had any tile we might be interested in. The woman clearly went from annoyed to angry at this point, but was quickly cut off by the male employee who apologized for our inconvenience and that we had not been informed about how things were done. I accepted his kindness and apology,. My mother explained that we had driven from a ways away, and would appreciate being allowed to simply look. The woman chimed back in to say that things were done “by appointment ONLY” and that she was not going to give us one, and that we could not simply “look” in the showroom without a designer. It was at this point that I decided that I was not going to spend money or give business to a company that cannot speak to a woman in her 70s with more respect, and clearly doesn’t want our business. The showroom looked nice as we drove away. They may have great products, but they clearly don’t care about selling them.
The most disorganized company I’ve ever worked with. 1/4 of our order was incorrect, and when I drove back to the showroom to get the exchanges, every single staff person I encountered seemed like they’d never heard nor understood the concept of a return ever before. Poor customer service and a disappointing attitude from start to finish. If I could leave zero stars, I would. The tile is beautiful, though.
Staff are not helpful or friendly. I drove there twice from my home, 30 minutes away, neither time was a designer available to help answer questions. The sales counter staff were neither helpful or friendly. If I could have found another brand that carried the color I wanted, I would not have ordered from Daltile.
What happened? Once Daltile was a most go place for tile installers. Today, I just confirmed what all my tile installers are saying, Daltile went down the drain. To say that they have bad service is an understatement. Bad return policies that difficult anybody that work on the industry. Bad customer service. I remember the time I would call in and when I arrived the warehouse guys were already outside waiting for my order to be pick up. Not anymore. The people inside don’t know what they are doing. I send a customer there to buy 3,000 SF of tile, big order, she left frustrated w/o being attended. 3,000 SF of tile material is a lot for one job, if you may know. There was nobody to take care of that customer. She said the store was emptied. I wonder why. My tile installers say, “send me to hell but not to Daltile.” How that happens.
Worked with Kristen to pick out the flooring in my house, and I loved her! She is knowledgeable, and has a great designer eye!
