I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed this place. The food was excellent. The lamb shank was incredibly tender and falling off the bone. The atmosphere was gorgeous and playfully fun. There were covers of pop songs playing all night. The server was friendly, gracious, accommodating, and welcoming. What a wonderful treat the entire experience was. A must do on all my future visits to Portland.
I do recommend this place. Everything from the looks of the place to the taste of the food and the culture history that you can see around it's just perfect when you want not only the food experience but also the environment experience our food was delicious the rise was amazing drinks were okay probably not my cup of tea but food was amazingly good. If you like baba ganoush you should definitely try theirs it's by far the best I ever had even better than my grandma's. Price 5/5 Food 5/5 Place 5/5 Service 5/5
What can you say about a spot where the staff and owners are so passionate and wonderful! Of course the food is simply great. The falafel were fresh, a little crunchy and soft inside with well balanced flavors and taste. The lentil soup was delicate and garnished with zatar. The eggplant stew was delicious. It had chunks of eggplant, as it should, and nicely spiced. The crown of the lunch was the desert Kunafah. It was a wonderful lunch and the owners are solid genuine folk who care about the guests and their food. Give this spot a shot… you’ll like it.
Food was incredible! The baba ghanoush is amongst the best I’ve ever had. Owner also stopped by our table and suggested some great things for us to try. There’s an exclusive Iraqi Pilsner that is only served at their restaurants and it was amazing. Be sure to try it if you like beer.
The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the vegan falafel mezza platter and my boyfriend ordered the house salad. Both portions were filling, and neither of us ate all, but we sure did try! My boyfriend never tried Mediterranean food, but loved the food and couldn't get enough of the "bread", the naan. The baklava was absolutely delicious and delicate. I also had the cardamom gimlet which was refreshing with the perfect amount of sweet and sour.
Where to start: Very friendly staff, the food, superb!! The ambiance is excellent! It's a perfect spot if you really wanna indulge in Mediterranean food. Their Lamb shank is the best in Portland, not only portion wise, which is very generous, but also how flavorful it is, just another level of good taste. This restaurant won another customer.
Came here last month with my boyfriend and had the most delicious food and drinks, such a wonderful experience. The staff was so friendly and the atmosphere was great. We are from Beaverton but will gladly make the drive for this restaurant alone!
Wow, just wow! What an amazing experience. I only had the pleasure of stopping by for some late-lunch takeout but this place just went so above my expectations I can’t wait to come back to eat in. The staff was incredibly friendly and gracious, the service quick and the food was hot and absolutely fantastic. The flavors were exceptionally balanced and instantly reminded me of some exceptional home cooking I had as a child. Despite all this flavor the food was exceptionally clean and it was easy to taste each flavor while enjoying them in ensemble. I’m sad I don’t live here to eat this weekly but it makes for a great excuse to come back and visit. Thank you!!!!
The Chicken Kabob Rice Plate was amazing. I love the interior of the shop it is very colorful and the music is cheerful. Ali is friendly and provided great service! A must visit in Downtown Portland!
Every time I am in Portland, I definitely visit this place. Great Kababs and what is beautiful decor! I have been there for Lunch and Dinner both, and both are great times to go there!
