Day Companies has been a good property management group. Although I have had a few issues, they were issues that could come up with any property and Day Companies was generally quick to fix the problem. Their prices are reasonable and I believe parking costs are included in their base rent for all their properties instead of the extra $100+/month some companies charge. Good communication with tenants. I would recommend this company to others.
We have been renting a space from Day Companies for a little over 3 years now. They have been great to work with since day one. All our maintenance requests are processed in a timely manner. The Day brothers are really friendly and very hands on. They have also been very supportive of our business. I would recommend renting from them.
We have rented with the Day Companies for several years and have had a great experience. They care about their tenants and are extremely responsive and accommodating. Service repairs are done almost immediately, within 1-2 days which is fantastic. The building, parking, and surrounding space is very well maintained.
This is by far the best rental company I have ever rented from. They really do care about their tenants. Every maintenance request I have made has been resolved within 1-2 days, and they even sent us a small gift during the holidays. The building is well-maintained, the parking lot and sidewalks have been plowed and salted after each snowfall and the maintenance people are so nice. I feel like my current apartment is such a good value given the amenities, size and location. Update after 3 years of living here: Maintenance response times are not as fast as they used to be. Currently waiting for them to address a maintenance request I submitted over 4 months ago. I've sent multiple follow up emails to different Day Company representatives to no avail.
Easily the best property managers/landlords I’ve had in ten years in Columbus. Fast turnaround on service requests sometimes even same day, accommodating of special requests needed to extend my lease one extra month to bridge the gap between leases, and the staff have been friendly and quick to respond to emails, texts, etc. 10/10 would recommend Day Companies to anyone in Columbus.
I have been a tenant of the Day Companies on East Gay Street for 15 years. Frame360 has had 2 great offices -- amazing spaces, beautiful views, and excellent customer service. They are the best! Professional, accommodating, and fun neighbors too. Day Companies treats tenants like family and we recommend them highly -- the best in Columbus.
consider renting from someone else. Their "policy" to only provide one year leases, regardless of how long you have been a tenant, is just dumb. Tenants are also required to renew their lease 4 months in advance. Your options become, stay here another year, pay an extra months rent to leave in addition to daily fees the space goes unrented, or just leave. After buying a house and paying to break my lease, I learned that the Day Companies did ZERO to find a new tenant and were content with us paying for everyday out apartment went unrented in addition to the $1300 to break the lease. I took it upon myself to find a tenant when 7 weeks into letting them know we were leaving, they still hadn't posted our unit. Basically, I gave them $1300 to find them a new tenant and only 3 days of rent were foregone. Thanks again for "working" with me. And good luck ever getting ahold of your leasing agent. They always have an excuse as to why they can't call you back. The only upside was getting to deal with David Day who was in charge of maintenance. Seriously, consider other options
Beautiful and unique layouts. Every unit at "The Jack" has that desirable warehouse loft look and feel. I cannot comment on their other properties, however most of the pictures are quite impressive. Although, in my opinion, The Jack is a treasure...well kept secret. My unit was around 720-740sq ft. I still can't get over how spacious it is, and was under the impression it was 970sq ft. The person I rented the unit from grossly misrepresented the true size of the space. Generally this would upset me. The size difference of a 740 square foot unit, versus a 900 square foot unit is NOTICEABLE. It wasn't in this case! Had the true sq footage been advertised, I would have passed, and never viewed the unit...very happy to have been non the wiser. The Architecture is Stunning! No cookie cutter units here. The difference in the Day Campany properties, opposed to most of the new up and coming trendy "New York Style" luxury lofts, cookie cutter crocks, like The Atlas, are night and day. Due to the ridiculous move in special The Atlas building offered, $400 deposit and free first months rent, I was sucked into renting there last summer. My 670 sq ft one bedroom was $1437 per month and a additional $100 monthly parking fee. The Atlas is one of the worst places, worst decisions I've made. They allowed me to break my lease, thankfully after only one month. Atlas isn't affiliated with day companies. The reason I mentioned my experience with Atlas is to hopefully save people from being sold any new trendy place, only to find yourself locked in a lease, that will likely be a nightmare. I regret every day I spent living at The Atlas. In retrospect, I long for my old unit at The Jack. It was the perfect loft! I cannot find another unit that holds a candle to it. The space and design are perfection. The only reason for the 3 star rating is the manager, Heather. She may not be employed there now, and she never should have been. Definitely not who you would envision representing a upscale residential company. She is the reason I moved. I would love the chance to live there again! This company deserves a 5 star rating. Your employees represent your business...food for thought. Although, it is believed she is no longer there. Wise decision...a decision I wish would have been decided long ago.
I have been with the day companies for 11 years. As a business we need a land lord that understands our need for flexibility, and they do. Over the years finding creative solutions for my space needs, and at a fair price. The partnership created is why I have never had to look any ware else. Larry
