If there was a 0 star rating, this company is absolutely vying for it. Their only interest is locking you into a contract for a year and then charging the maximum price possible during that period. Word to the wise, read the contract. They will continue to deliver oil after your contract has ended at even higher markups. You have to notify in writing that you want to end your account. Don't make my mistake in thinking that the end of the contract will save you from this nightmare. DDLC is a scam and the scummiest oil company I've ever had the displeasure of using. The only positive side of things is that my misfortune can serve as a warning for you. Read around and you'll see that my experience is not unique.

Very unscrupulous and unethical company. Steer clear of them, they will rip you off the most they can. Worse company I have ever used.

On a contract and DDLC failed to cap us off this past December. Heat shut off and realized oil ran completely out. Called, and rep said “yea you have been behind on your bill since September and your on the list for Monday (this would be 3 days) but they are not going to stop because your behind on payments”. Always have paid on time or ahead of time. Upon contract renewal they did not send the new bill with the changes amount. We continued to pay after speaking with a rep over the phone. So apparently from 8/25-9/29 since the bill was not paid the account became delinquent. Inquired to what amount to pay for heat/oil asap. September’s bill, plus the upcoming months bill and 150.00 to come out ASAP (2-4 hrs)....writing this now and still hasn’t shown. Now they are saying 12:00AM! This company does NOT have a concern for your family’s safety.

Terrible service. They charge an astronomic amount of money for the service, and if you want to schedule a cleaning they give you one for 6 months later. It used to be that they would call you to schedule the service maintenance, not anymore, you have to do it, and it suits them if you don't do it or forget. The online account system, which was recently upgraded, is terrible. It shows you statements and invoices and a link next to each one to make a payment (even though you have pay them already). So one could easily pay something twice. It also shows you that you have a balance but it does not show you all the statements corresponding to that balance. I will cancel as soon a I get the service maintenance done.

This company is reliable. They ALWAYS come out promptly if we have a problem. The negative is their high cost of oil. They assert that this is due to being a full-service company. I cannot deny it is a full-service company They (or their predecessors who were merged in) have kept our 30+-yr-old boiler functioning efficiently since it was new. Beats buying new. Real humans answer the phone, and work competently to resolve any difficulties, such as billing questions.
