Just had a chance to take advantage of my Towboat US membership. John came fast friendly and got us back into slip stern first in no time. Could have been an unpleasant end to a great day, instead it just felt like a friend lending a hand.

We highly recommend Deaton Yacht Services. We have used this company over the past 12 years. We tried their local competition 13 years ago but ended that relationship for good when they booted our boat out of the protection of their yard and placed our boat back in the harbor to face an imminent hurricane. Our experience with John Deaton's company has been the exact opposite in character. Since we run a commercial chartering operation, we really need a very reliable maintenance system. Deaton's has always come through for us. When we've had emergencies, they have expeditiously attended to our situation. We've also admired the technical expertise of their crew and the elegant solutions we see them implementing for some of our thorny problems.

I recently had our boat hauled for some winter maintenance and a thru-hull and seacock replacement. The attention to detail was better than I expected and additional observations made by the staff were recorded and photographed for my records. This was my first visit but I am sure to be back. If you want the work to be done in a professional manner without any shortcuts, this is your place. Mind your entrance into Whittaker Creek. Consider calling Deaton's in advance if you do not have local knowledge.
