After buying my first boat in June (2002 Scout sportfish) I was looking for somewhere just to do an annual service. Oil change, multi point inspection and a tune up. After dropping it off Mark said it would be ready in 1 week. I called halfway through the week just to check in, he said they had not started yet but that my prop was bent and I needed a new one. I approved replacement of the prop. I called the next day, once again just to check in, the guy on the other line actually told me to stop calling and bothering him! After 2 weeks they finally finished serving my boat. I go pick it up, pay my bill and walk out to my boat. My prop (that I had just paid for) had not been replaced. He said it had not arrived yet from his supplier and to return to have it installed. I reluctantly agreed. It is now July 3rd. I go out on my boat for the first time. I am out for a couple hours and everything in the boat completely shut down. After getting it towed back to a dock I had to tow the boat back to this shop with the trim all the way down on the engine (no power to trim motor) When it arrived I also asked him to check the carburetors as the boat felt like it was not getting enough fuel. He tells me the carburetors need to be rebuilt. I approve. After 5 weeks he managed to fix the electrical issue that shut my boat down completely. He said he rebuilt all carburetors but he could not get rid of the sluggish feeling I originally complained about. He wanted me to approve diagnosis to remove the head. I declined and told him I would pick it up. Upon pick up he hands me a bill for $1100!!! HE NEVER PROVIDED AN ESTIMATE AND DID NOT EVEN FIX THE PROBLEM!!!! and just to top it off, the prop I had paid for during the first time, still had not arrived from his supplier. Most crooked experience I have ever had from any place of business. Wish I could give no stars.

Not good business practices. We tried to buy a boat from this "business", called on a Thursday and got the information about the boat, expressed interest in coming to check out the boat. He then went into his story about how he had been trying to sell the boat for 6 weeks, and after showing and taking it out numerous times everyone was giving low ball offers because of the shape of the interior (which we could see from pics on website). He insisted that we have a ball park price or offer before coming down and essentially wasting each other time - which is very unorthodox for us. However, given his story, we discussed and gave him and offer on a Friday of $4,900. He attempted to get a hold of the owners and in the meantime we went ahead and got the money out to cover asking price (it being the weekend and all). After a couple of phone calls, he was unable to get up with the owners. After lunch on Monday had not heard from him, so gave him a call. At that time he said that the owners had dropped off the title and they would only take $5,400. We agreed. At that time he said well I already have someone on their way to look at it. Are you kidding me!? We did everything he wanted us to, the way he wanted it. Tried to buy the boat all weekend. If everything had checked out the way pictured and described, we would have bought the boat. After all this, he let's someone else buy the boat from underneath us and casually mentioned he made an extra $50 bucks off it. Very unprofessional all the way around and extremely "limited." Every pun intended.
