I cannot say enough good things about Deb! I have worked with her for a few years, and she has always been a calm, thoughtful, empathetic voice of reason. She is direct in her communication style, and even when she's telling you things maybe you don't want to hear, you know that she's firmly in your corner. Since working with her, I've seen immense change and personal growth. I feel confident recommending Deb to friends, family, and now, Google folks! If you are looking to really put in the "the work" to make change, identify and understand unresolved problems or issues, Deb is absolutely the right therapist for you.
Deb is a hidden gem who everyone needs in their life. She helped me develop a skill set that continues to benefit all aspects of my life. From inner conflicts, various relationship types, and major life events, Deb is that person to listen and provide most valuable insight. Her kindness and genuine nature shine through and I always looked forward to our next time together.
Deb is a stellar human and therapist, she’s helped me through the hardest years of my life, and allowed me to navigate them with some grace. I had a hard time dealing with emotional outbursts after the onset of my PTSD, emotions I had spent my whole life fearing and repressing. She helped me understand what was going on. She’s so professional, honest, and thoughtful, and has worked hard to help me heal. I’m so grateful to have her on this journey.
After a grueling year and a half working in live action film, I was exhausted and depressed. I was also 24 and ashamed to admit that I felt tired, in any fashion, before 30. I had a lot of baggage that had piled up over the past year, and even more from childhood I’d yet to ever touch. Throughout the past year of my time with Deb, I’ve found a peace, clarity, and acceptance of myself within my own life that once felt impossible to achieve. Furthermore, I truly believe she could help any individual find their version of this, so long as they’re willing to put in the effort themselves therapy always takes effort!. Throughout my childhood and young adulthood I’ve seen many therapists, but she is easily the most present and compassionate listener of them all. Deb is a deeply kind individual who happens to also be a brilliant and multi-faceted therapist. She never fails to remind me that while she’s the therapist, I’m the one making the change and progress. For so long, I was solely concerned with where I’ve been and might be going. Today, I finally feel like I can focus on where I am. This, as we all know, is often a big piece of the puzzle. I am beyond grateful for Deb’s guidance, and highly recommend her to anyone looking to talk to not just a talented and thoughtful therapist, but a genuinely kind human being.
I've been working with Deb for over two years and she has been such an incredible source of support and perspective. She is compassionate and insightful, and knows how to identify and get to the heart of an issue. She's helped me considerably with several different matters. She has been an invaluable part of my life for the past few years and I look forward to where things will go from here.
If you are truly interested and vested in making a change or having a better understanding of the who, what, when, where and WHY of life, pain, trauma, transition, Deb is wonderful and caring ! She has a gift of being able to really listen and discern so much from whatever you are willing to share with her. The perspectives, insights, challenges, recommendations and suggestions provided by Deb are right on, sensible, practical and real. She is able to create a quiet, reflective and very emotionally SAFE place for you to get the most of your time and work with her. After you read these reviews about Deb, make the call, write the email. You will be glad you did.
Deb is a thoughtful, kind, and professional therapist. She has helped me immensely over the past several years after getting diagnosed with a chronic, lifelong disease. Her ability to understand mind-body issues and talk through options and ideas is outstanding! Her office is comfortable and easy to access and park. Besides bi-weekly therapy sessions, I've done some energy work with her, and participated in mindfulness-based stress reduction class that she co-facilitated. She is a holistic therapist, encouraging her clients to look at alternative approaches besides traditional Western medicine. Yet, she is not pushy in any way if you are not interested in certain ideas. She does not take insurance, but will work with your insurance for you to get reimbursed later. I highly recommend Deb!
I could not be more pleased and grateful that I stumbled across Deb's name on Yelp 3 years ago. I've been seeing her since and will continue to for the foreseeable future. Deb is thoughtful, kind, compassionate and very insightful. Deb has this way of saying, "here's what I'm hearing" after I ramble on for a few minutes....and she'll be right on the money. She listens and empathizes. I also find it helpful that Deb is not afraid to share some of her own experiences and vulnerabilities as a way of relating to me and my situation. Sometimes sessions have these breakthrough moments which are exciting but usually the changes are more subtle. I can only say that my headspace is in far better shape than it was three years ago and I owe a lot of that to my work with Deb.
Before seeing Deb, I did not know that real change was possible. It is! When you have support from Deb, therapy is awesome. Her approach includes talk therapy and physical grounding. Because of my childhood trauma, I don't think I had ever truly lived in my body and was not aware how much fear ruled over my everyday life. Deb is also skilled with "brain-spotting" which truly freed me from fear and old negative behaviors. I am grateful for Deb and her process.
She has a gentle and kind spirit that approaches therapy from a place that feels nurturing and safe. Deb will give you tools that are unique, practical and relevant to helping you move positively towards your goals. Ultimately, empowering you.
