Spent just shy of $1k to get a very large medicine cabinet that came damaged that could have been packed better by a 12 year old - all glass a mirrors and no padding or precautionary packing. Customer service promised the broken pieces would be sent within 48 hours - I am in the middle of a renovation - two weeks later still hasn’t shipped. Will not order from them again and would give Zero Stars if could.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I don't write reviews but seriously had to warn at least one person. Shipping took over weeks longer than expected. Mixed signals with emails telling me it was arriving early then nothing when it didn't. Item arrived completely shattered and destroyed and cannot get support to answer the phone or call me back. Product was delivered without signature and without knowledge. They have a TWO DAY defect reporting window so when I arrived to the property to check the item a week later it was a problem. Currently waiting on a response to an email with photos I've sent but haven't heard back yet [email says it's 48 hours to get a response so will update again]. Will update review as I receive "support" but buyer beware - I'm currently out 1400 dollars and have no toilet for my new home. Response to owner response: I will post a photo of the invoice later today when I get home from work. Support had me send back the washet for a refund but I have no heard any updates yet and will amend my review barring any problems. It's been a lot of problems so far though.
There are many options where you can purchase bathroom/kitchen plumbing supplies. Sometimes to get the correct items and outstanding customer service, you might have to go out of your way. Stan Glusker at Decor Planet is worth going out of your way for! He's patient, kind, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I believe we got the best price, and the best products. Avoid, takes forever to receive. Customer service doe not exist. reported damaged items upon delivery, and they still claim that the items were received in good condition. Update: replacement vanity and linen cabinet were sent, wish their customer support was much responsive, and issues resolved much quicker
I am writing here that I just had a terrible experience with decorplanet and I am sorry I have purchased product from them. If the item is defective, they won't give you replacement or accept the return. The item arrived with broken pieceon the picture but we found out later when our plumber installed the toilet about 20 days later. I contacted customer service initially just about broken cover, and hoping just replacing the cover, then the seat started not functioning electrically and remote control was not working after 5 days of installation. I contacted immediately the customer service because it was within 30 days of delivery about the item's defect. This past a week and half I had to deal with their customer service and talked to manager yesterday. They put all the responsibilites on customers and they shifted the responsibilities to the manufacture warranty even though I initiated the process within 30 days. They said you reported too late like their response. Why is it too late to report defect item within 30 days? It is really bad business model. They maybe a little cheaper than other competitors, but buy from the place where it has more reputations and quality of customer service, because you will regret. I am totally regret purchasing from them. You will end up with dispute and despairs. I am responding to the owner. I talked to the tech department of Toto yesterday and they even said that how terrible the decor planet handled the situation about this case. This is how stated in your company return policy: MANUFACTURING DEFECTS If the merchandise you receive is found to be defective due to a manufacturing defect, a request for the replacement of the defective merchandise must be made within 30 days of the delivery of your order. DecorPlanet.com will exchange the defective merchandise or a defective part free of charge. Merchandise returned as defective, which is found not to be defective, will be subject to a 15% restocking charge, along with the original and return shipping and handling charges. If a defect occurs after 30 days of delivery, you must contact the manufacturer directly for warranty information. Decorplanet.com will not cover any labor or other costs of removal or installation, nor shall Decorplanet.com be responsible for any other incidental or consequential damages attributable to a product defect or to the repair or exchange of a defective product or part. I reported the defect of item within 30 days of delivery when I contacted customer service. You delivered item on 1/25 and I reported 2/21. Why is it too late? It does not say that here? It says you exchange the defective merchandise for free of charge. If after 30 days, it is manufacture warranty. It was not after 30 days. You are lying. I even received return authorization and I already packed everything to be shipped after talking to customer service. Why did you send me the return authorization and ordered the replacement and canceled without informing me, Then when I contacted the customer service two days ago, they said you cannot ship the replacement. So why you didn't tell me on 2/21 you cannot honor the replacement and lead me to Toto warranty at that time? It does not make sense. I wasted more than 1 week. Because I was shocked and despair, I started crying on phone, that is why the manager contacted me. What kind of business is that making customer cry for despair? I should have read reviews in advance prior to purchase. I read so many people having similar experiences. Because of this defect, even though my bathroom construction was already finished, it is not completed due to the toilet defect. We have to rehire plumber when the repair item arrives from Toto and it will take again for a long time and it will cost us more money because of Decor Planet. This is the worst experience with customer service in my life time. So please read this review and take it very seriously to deal with this company. I will never forget and forgive what they did to us.
The worst furniture shopping experience ever. I didn't check the review before I ordered from DecorPlanet and it was huge mistake. Delay. Not fully delivered order. Another delay to get a missing piece. They've sent the wrong piece! They charge for returning. Their support is actually nice people but they can't help you. They don't know their products, they have no idea what's happening in the warehouse. Oh, and when you call or text about "issues with placing in order" they reply in seconds, if not – you'll wait up to an hour.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS! They shipped us a broken bathroom vanity set and refused to replace it because we didn't contact them in 48hrs. Absolutely unreal. Have to get lawyers involved just to receive what we ordered and paid for. This is a sham company. Don't waste your time on businesses like this when there are so many that would happily take your $$ AND will stand by their products and delivery.
I’m dealing with this company not for the first time. Bit pricey but it’s not for everyone. My sales person this time was Igor. Personal thank you for his attention. Nothing goes perfect always. Reached out to customer service they solved my problem with in a minute. If someone doesn’t recommend this company I suggest go to Floor Decor , more of American Standard you all custom to. I had to renovate a bathroom. Did not know where to start. Luckily someone recommended DP. Their extensive showroom has tons of displays to choose the design idea and get you started. Furthermore, Igor - a very knowledgeable salesperson helped with the project all the way from choosing the best components at the best price, to tracking deliveries and installation tips. All issues and concerns were addressed in a timely matter. They even help you to find a contractor if needed. I will definitely come back to DP with my next renovation project!
Going on 2 months now, no response to my emails about this problem. Order Number: #20-001112389. One 30” vanity was destroyed in shipping, the 61” quartz countertop was broken in half and both 12” vanities were hinged on the right side vs left and right. They refuse to pick up the damaged items and refuse to reimburse me the $100 it cost to have my trash company pick it up. Very poor customer service. In addition, they sent a vanity cabinet that had the door hinged on the wrong side. I agreed to reverse the door for $150 compensation. I later reversed the door and the wood was not finished on the side that is now showing on top. Lastly, I purchased a 60" vanity that consists of two 30" pieces. They look great, but the drawers on one vanity don't line up with the drawers on the other - on one the drawers are lower by around 1/8", but the cabinets themselves are aligned perfectly. The drawers have different types of hardware. I have emailed the company with no response.
