Wow this place is absolutely excellent, so glad we popped in for a birthday bite with family. As you walk in you are greeted by the doorman and hit with the elegance of the Ritz Carlton lobby. We sat in the lobby area to dine since the main area was under construction but that was not an issue at all, the lobby is lovely, great decor, relaxing yet fun music, excellent customer service from our lovely server Belinda and exemplary bartender Sherman. We had the cheeseboard, empanadas, and burrata salad and each was even more excellent than the one before. Sherman even surprised us with a delicious and elegant birthday pastry which was really the cherry on top of a perfect night. Belinda was patient, kind, and extremely professional with us. We cannot wait to be back.
The good and drinks were yummy. The service was great and the atmosphere pleasant. Yes, as others said a bit pricy but to be expected for the Ritz Carlton.
My nephew ordered a mocktail that was delicious, but he didn't like it. They removed it from the bill without us even asking and were incredibly kind. Things here are expensive, but it's the Ritz for a reason and their service is unmatched. I had no animosity towards my $20 house aged cocktail The Frenchman as it was potent, balanced, and served in a wonderful ambiance tucked away amidst all the action in Georgetown! While this Ritz may not scream luxury as every turn, it's in an incredible building that makes it a different adventure from the normal Ritz vibe.
I went there yesterday evening for drinks an appetizers and was shown amazing service by the bartender, who I think is named Louis. I asked him to mix us up something based on some broad descriptors white spirit, spicy, booze forward and he really delivered. He was very attentive and even gave us extra mustard jar minis when he overheard me gushing about how much I loved them. Just as we were leaving he gave us an explanation of Sauternes which he must have known I needed because he was talking with a coworker about them and I expressed confusion about it to my friends.
Overpriced, pretentious eatery inside an overpriced, pretentious hotel. The presentation was fantastic but the food was all bland. Did I mention it was overpriced? It was.
I mostly come here because it is a beautiful space. The food is typically just fine, not bad and not stand out or exciting, but a good meal. The service is unfortunately lacking. I think they are used to a slow pace because it isn’t a very popular place, but they should still check on the guests.Dine in: Yes
I had a great time here last night, primarily because it was a company event and I didn't have to pay. The drinks were excellent, my whisky sours were made with crown royal and my gin and tonics were made with Bombay sapphire. Excellent service, the staff was very friendly and fast to get my order. I tried the steak, that was available at the party. The steak was fantastic, cooked perfectly with a pink in the center. The chicken quesadillas and guacamole were excellent. The atmosphere of the bar was warm and relaxed. Defiantly will come back. The bathrooms are outside of the bar and around the corner. Bathrooms were clean and fully stocked.
We went to the Ritz Carlton before going to Citronelle for what we thought would be nice, fancy cocktails. We went around 8pm for a drink before dinner, and were disappointed. My wife's drink was okay, nothing special, and I was embarrassed by my Old Fashioned. It was completely watered down. Along with that the service was not very good - they handed, handed us the drinks without a napkin, while we were sitting at a table. Now, going to a regular bar - I expect that. But paying $15 or whatever it was for a watered down whiskey drink and poor service made us both unhappy with this place. Its the Ritz Carlton for goodness sakes!
Food was great, but extremely pricey!
Wonderful service, outstanding food!
