Great staff..every person informed me of what they we going to do before they started work. And showed compassion to a person with a sensitive mouth. Havent had any luck finding a dental office that was more than your average. Think i found my new dental home i recommended anyone missing teeth.
They have been consistently caring, thorough and proactive to my mother and to me. Dr. Popa is particularly skilled and good-natured. We are thrilled we found this neighborhood dental facility.
Do not go here! I got Invisalign through them and had a TERRIBLE experience. For my Invisalign aligners they missed a tooth on it! All of my aligners were made with a tooth missing from it! When I brought it up they were completely dismissive of me and would not remake the aligners. I had to ask multiple times before the aligners were remade. The new aligners that were made, did not fit my teeth and again my concerns were dismissed. I had to switch providers to finish my Invisalign treatment. Dental town has not responded to any attempt to contact them for a refund for their faulty and inept dental practice. Go literally anywhere else for treatment!
I went here when I broke a tooth and they were the only people open Saturday morning. They were very helpful, saw me quickly and took x-rays... But then they tried to sell me on a root canal and gumline de-scaling at jacked-up prices. My regular dentist determined I just needed a crown and several years later it appears he was right. Points for being open and taking walk-ins, bad karma for being predatory with people in pain.
My previous experience was less than ideal but I was happy to see that they have made significant improvements and I was treated with respect, seen on time and the care team was friendly, professional and made an anxiety producing experience as good as it could possibly be.
I had a great experience. They even let me use noise cancelling headphones while shaving my cavity away. Friendly, personable staff. 10/10
Nightmarish experience. I went here for the first time in January. First, the dental assistant was very sweet and took x-rays. Then, the dentist came in awhile later and it all went downhill… The dentist was sneezing and coughing saying “don’t worry, it’s not COVID.” More importantly, though, the dentist was rude and disrespectful. She was trying to teach the dental assistant a few things at my time and expense. It was clear the dental assistant wasn’t understanding her questions, but the dentist kept asking them over and over and over and getting more visibly annoyed every time… in front of me. Then, when we got all done nearly two hours later, the dentist told me I had several problems and needed a lot of work done. I had a gut feeling that this was not right, so I never scheduled a follow up appointment as instructed. Yesterday I went to a new dentist who is SO good — he respected my time, had good bedside manner, and to no surprise, found NOTHING wrong. Dental Town DC is in the business of making money, not caring for patients.
Such a great experience! I had a dental emergency and had no established dentist in the area. Dental Town was able to get me in the next day, and the entire staff was beyond helpful from start to finish. Chelsea at the front desk called my insurance company for me and let me know upfront exactly what I would need to pay - the transparency was amazing. The doctor was so incredibly kind and had me in and out in less than an hour. I can’t thank them enough for all of their help!
Best dentist hands down! Dr. Shenasi and the whole team are amazing. I have been her patient for over a year now. The environment is clean and calming for anyone who is nervous about the dentist, and everyone is super friendly. They treat you very well, look out for your health, and explain things every step of the way. I even referred my boyfriend who used to dread going to the dentist but he loves it here too.
This was by far the best dental experience I’ve ever had. I broke my tooth the day before and called slightly freaking out the next morning. Chelsea answered the phone and was able to get me in ASAP. She was so sweet throughout and made me feel taken care of. My hygienist, Nina, was also very kind and answered all my questions. Dr. Martin greeted me warmly and thoroughly went through my options, making me feel comfortable with scheduling a root canal. The office itself is very clean, spacious, and frankly quite pretty. Very grateful to have found Dental Town!
