Denver Athletic Club

The Denver Athletic Club was ranked one of the top ten gyms in the US, and it is a well deserved accolade! They have a 4 lane lap pool, sauna, steam room, and hot tub. the locker room is spacious and full of amenities. The front desk provides a card for the locker key. The facility has studios for spinning, pilates, yoga and all of their classes. There is even massage available onsite by appointment. The fitness area has an abundance of cardio equipment, including concept 2 rowing machines, many ellipticals and treadmills. It does not seem there would ever be a wait for a machine and the high ceiling and glass windows make the entire cardio area feel very open. The gym has an extensive collection of cable weights and free weight equipment, including 3 power racks and a deadlift platform. There are multiple benches flat, incline, decline and sets of dumbbell up to 120lbs at least. The weight area feels more like an NFL training facility than a local gym. There are more 45lb plates than you can possibly lift, I promise you. The staff is friendly and inviting. I was only in town for a few days, using day passes from the Teatro Hotel nearby, but they tended to me like a full fledged member. Ultimately, working with their management, they were able to offer a terrific membership deal that I prepaid for my brother as a gift. While I am not fortunate enough to live nearby, my brother is a local and I am thrilled to recommend the Denver Athletic Facility to my family and anyone reading this review. I've been a member here about 6 months and love it. The staff are beyond nice and accommodating. It's a huge facility and you get a ton of value if you use it. Location and parking are excellent; park for 3 hours free. They have so many events going on that it's actually hard keeping up with everything. I really like that it's member owned, so there's no corporation milking you for your money, profits are invested back into the club.

I just had my wedding here and it was perfect! I loved how it was all inclusive, they really do everything for you, including working as a wedding planner the day of. My wedding was stress free, beautiful and so much fun! Thank you to all the hard working staff at DAC, especially Linda and Kristen!

I took a hot flow yoga class from Kat. Wow! The chair, lunge, and airplane poses got me nice & sweaty. Kat was a great instructor and helped me out with a few poses, and I liked that. The DAC is such a great club and I actually feel 'more Colorado' when I go here. Five stars all the way.

I came to possibily join here but the front desk man was beyond rude telling me I could not try it out and I was willing to pay a day rate but no he was not helpful, not nice and could careless that I was turned away. Futhermore I parked for 5 minutes and paid $16.00 evening rate which I could not get back. Upon talking to friends one whose parents had been former members nobody had anything good to say about the place. Snooty and rude is what they said. You just lost a potential member. Learn customer service!!

I go to Denver Laser inside the building. The front desk now have a list of those with appointments. I have no problem telling my name and appointment time which magically always matches what is printed out in front of them. But now they are practicing for their next stint as TSA agents demanding to also see a government ID... for a medspa appointment. What's next, needing to bring a notarized copy of your appointment confirmation?

I have been taking fitness classes for many years and I have never had such an incredible class as I did with this instructor Beckie. She was so knowledgeable, friendly and fun, I will be joining the club for this instructor alone.

Age discrimination in their membership packages. Over 35 years of age your rates of membership is the highest at $377 a month. Not cool.

We were members here when we were little and came every Sunday with our closest family members. Now my sister is a member and it's still such an amazing establishment. Healthy food, quiet and comfortable work spaces, affordable day care, spacious locker rooms, lots of amenities, and extremely friendly and helpful staff! If I lived in Denver, I'd definitely join.
