Negative 5 stars would be too much. My husband and I showed 40 minutes prior to opening 06:20 and there was already a massive line of people waiting outside—some with what appeared to be blankets and pillows. We had to take off work to try and transfer our out of state licenses. Let me just say the security guard and other lady checking in people are incredibly kind and doing the best they can. As I got frustrated throughout the day they did the best they could to give me updated estimates and were very transparent with why so few people were working—undermanned in general and the site manager literally excused people from work to go check out another site, leaving only one DL examiner working. Upon 0700, the guard called up fast pass individuals so if you don’t have that, I recommend it and sorted everyone else in another line. Once we entered, the guard had us enter our cell number so that we would be texted our waiting number M series and another subsequent text when our number would be called soon. It wasn’t soon…it was over an hour. We spent literally over 8 hours before being seen. If possible, make an appointment and check out fast pass. Ridiculous. We shouldn’t have to take off work to spend more than an entire workday to transfer licenses.
!!FAIR WARNING!! Staff is nice but, not enough of them. 25 people in line ahead of you if you get there by 4:30 am. The only way you can get in is by being there 3 hours before they open or pay a $5 fee online to reserve an appointment 2-3 months out. Also if you're the 19th-21st person in line for a walk-in, don't count on being called back. Walk-ins are not their priority. IF YOU ARE LATE BY 5 MINUTES OR ARE MISSING ANY DOCUMENTS, YOUR $5 PLACE HOLDER MEANS NOTHING. They will not allow you a refund or reschedule. You could take a day off work for nothing. Wish I knew this before my wasted time off and money. They only accept cash, debit, or check. Be very aware they may open at 7:02 am but they always close at 4:30 pm on the dot. I've been trying to get my license transfered from Kansas for 2 years now. COVID restrictions hadn't helped and once they were lifted, things went back to just as impossible as before. Thank goodness my Kansas license is still valid otherwise I'd be really screwed.
I had a very good experience here today. The lady that let us in I believe her name was Tammy was sweet and friendly. The lady that helped me Parks was the name on her shirt was absolutely delightful and she was fast and very kind. I got there at 6:30 am and was out before 9:00. It was a much more pleasant experience than I expected it to be.
Waiting time is around 4 hr, so once you check in you can leave and do what ever you want and come back after 4 hrs. Personal is very friendly and helpful
Today is 9/26/2022. I came here a few weeks ago at 1300 and they turned me away because they had 175 ahead of me. I came in 9/23 and the wait time was 5 hours. It’s now 0738 and they only have 2 people working the windows. They’re on m101 so that means 19 people with an M number are ahead of me. Unbelievable. Btw they open at 7 but the line starts to form around 5:30. Also they will send you a text if you sign in at the kiosk and you have about 30 min to come back to the building. So I got in line at 6:15 AM and I left at 8:48 AM because they had just called back the 6th person. I went to the Tinker Tag Agency in Midwest City and I was in and out in 17 minutes.
The lack of professionalism and knowledge of their staff is frustrating. They force people to come line up at 4am in Oder to get help. Their hours of operation are from 7AM to 5PM however if you arrived at 2PM they refused to serve the you, even though the place is empty and they’re all seating around playing on their personal phones! They are absolutely lazy, and don’t care or understand that WE the tax payers pay their salary!
I have been trying for longer than I am comfortable even stating here just to get through the phone lines so I can have some questions answered. Over three times have I called and waited on hold for well over an hour with no indication that I was even closer to being served. This is criminal malpractice on our community, and genuinely makes me question the legitimacy and authority of the Oklahoma State government. Pathetic.
Sit on hold for an hour and a half to 2 hours. They relay minimal information. U better know all the questions needed to ask because they're certainly not going to give you important information. It's just a bit of a rude approach after spending half ur day on hold
Long lines, but the staff is very friendly and works hard to process applications as fast as possible. Fast processing of handicapped placards applications
In general, the Oklahoma DPS for licensing is so poorly run. There is no reason to have appointments booked out 2+ months in advance. When offices are so understaffed that they can not process the people in line, or you have to get there HOURS before they open to get a chance to get a license. Oklahoma, you need to pay more to get people to work for you or to get better qualified people to do the work. Your system of getting Real ID is so inefficient that you are costing your citizens valuable time and money, yes its costing us MONEY to waste time waiting for you to get your job done. All the REAL ID information should be able to be filled in ONLINE and a picture taken at the DMV and DL printed at that time. What a JOKE!
